So even though you can avoid jail altogether by simply giving up as well as the option to skip oh and cheats ppl are still voting no? lol The main problem ppl have (being forced to do it) has been addressed so how is this not acceptable?. Half the ppl who voted no are cowards bcuz they didn't even post and explaining why. That tells me they hatin just to be hatin. confused.gif I bet some of them made duplicate accounts just to vote no twice. lol Pathetic. Same bullsh*t in the fuel thread. An option to turn it off was included yet ppl still said no. lol Just selfish I tell ya.

I agree. Being busted gets you a fine anyways, so what's wrong with being able to wave the fine and be in jail or pay it and skip jail? Skipping jail automatically with a fine happens in all previous GTA games anyways, this just gives people a choice.

I like your Idea for the jail/prison system. It would be really cool. And i wouldn't get tired of it because I could basically skip it by sleeping. Probably won't happen but would be a Plus in my book. cookie.gifcookie.gifcookie.gifcookie.gifcookie.gif

I would love a prison break mission strand. Say one character ends up in prison (probably Trevor) and the other 2 have to break him out. Meanwhile there are some missions you can complete while in jail which will result in further contacts, sort of like Mafia 2.

STFU about this prison bullsh*t! Just because you've seen a prison, it doesn't mean it's of use, IDIOT.

GTA 4 had a prison too! But did we ever use it? No, we didn't!

If there is a prison chapter I hope it's as far from mafia II as possible. As in, I choose when to break out. I choose which guards I want to assault when they increase the length of toilet cleaning jobs or when they try to make me clean the f*ckin' toilets. I want to be able to switch to another guy on the outside and blow up the wall with dynamite.

Mafia II chapter 6 was follow corridor, follow but stay behind this guy through corridor, obligatory fight with an incredible move set of 3, boring chore that I avoid in real life so a game making me do it is far far worse.

GTA V's prison chapter (If there is one) should let me take as many different actions as possible to break out, and should let me punch a guard right in the face when he tries to make me mop the floor or something. f*ck mafia II's linear mandatory chore "because the story demands it" bullsh*t.

I voted no because I would not enjoy this... If that's a problem then it's your problem not mine. Even if it was implemented I'd just go down shooting rather than waste my time doing time.

Ppl avoid jail by being slaves to the system, what makes you think the average joe wants to waste their time doing this bullsh*t? Go play the game of life if you want this realism. And FYI I'm in favour of fuel in cars c*nt

I agree with this 100% and tried to address that with this idea.

GTFO wit that bullsh*t. Sounds like you're the one with the problem. You either have bad reading comprehension or have such a sucky life that you just want to be negative bcuz the problem you have was addressed. You said "I would not enjoy this".. and I'd just go down shooting rather than waste my time doing time.". Well if you read the post you would've seen that you can just surrender and avoid jail completely and even if you did go down shooting you still have the option to skip it making your "I wouldn't enjoy this" comment irrelevant. Troll somewhere else negative nancy.

i regret voting yes before i read the OP

Why is that? Please explain. I mean even if you don't like the idea you still have the option to skip it and better yet avoid it completely by giving up so what would be the purpose of voting no?

I Like your idea, kinda innovative.

not going to happen though, its only fit if there is only one protagonist confused.gif IMO

Thanks and yeah it most likely wont happen but I disagree with it only fitting one protag. Please explain. The way I look at it is with 3 protags like V you can just switch to a different protag if one goes to jail. Then you can let him do his time or go bust him out. This is actually another option for those who don't want to do it.

Yeah, but what if you like one of the protagonists because of their special ability or personality? I still say the fee should be there for skippers.

So you can fight in prison. Great. So what exactly is preventing you from fighting outside of prison? What is stopping you from causing riots outside of prison?

I would do a jailbreak mission that you can replay from the stats menu like in RDR. That way I don't have to do an entire f*cking jailbreak every time my guy gets arrested for scratching a cop car.

I always enjoy reading your posts. I agree with this 100%

Amazing ideas you got there, OP icon14.gif

The only thing is, there probably won't be a jail system like this since it is too late now and the game is probably ready...

Thanks and yeah almost half the voters voted no even tho it clearly states you can avoid jail or skip it once jailed. Either they didnt read it or they're just being negative. I mean why else would you vote no?

Yea keeping it simple, like showing up inside a police station would be cool. Itd also be pretty cool if it was incorporated into the story and we had to escape.

I could see it happen. Redemption had it, and it wasn't too intrusive. Just make it you get fined a finite amount if you're caught, you then either just watch a brief "holding" scene, or maybe get slapped with some community stuff, kind of like what Bully had.

Actually its one of the better idea's i've heard from users on Forum. Would bee cool with a "serve your time" system and free roam around the prison , getting into fights, meeting new contacts and stuff.

Only if I can skip it for free. Because I don't want to be in prison and don't want to be punished for not wanting to be in prison.

Two topics on the same thing. suicidal.gif

Anyhow when you're busted in any GTA game you lose cash so skipping it should take your cash. Braking out on the other hand means you keep your cash and maybe it'll let you retrieve your weapons if you wish.

Fair enough. How about a fee of one dollar. Because f*ck jail, that's why.

Because you should get punished for dying and getting busted in GTA. Otherwise people wouldn't care if either happened. You start messing with the core mechanics of what makes a video game work like that - take away all aspects of punishment and reward - and you will be left with one boring game. They should implement the jail system from Skyrim - pay a bribe to the police, the amount of which depends on your wanted rating, or surrender and go to prison, in which you can serve the time or try and escape. Either way, if you don't want to be punished for committing crimes then don't get caught. Simple.

I voted yes....however, you can't make something like this mandatory. The best way to do it is give the player an option right as right as they get arrested. Spend time in jail or skip it all together.

Then, the only people would complain would be those who don't want to waste time pressing the skip option.

I see this problem a lot when you guys post new ideas. You have to think in terms of options without it affecting players who don't like a lot of changes and pose the idea as so.

A good way to have jail is have it the same way as all the other gtas but... If you don't want to lose the money you should have the option to try and

break out without any weapons. Otherwise you can just do your time and pay a decently large amount. Just to give you more of a immersed feeling

to try and not get caught by cops.

Also, upon escape you will receive 4 stars. Not 5 because getting the army

involved in a jail break out of one person without a weapon is pretty dumb.

We do get punished for getting busted and dying! Fees and weapon loss. Why is that not good enough anymore? Realism is only good when it's not directly interrupting gameplay.

Maybe something like if I have a weapon out the cops will shoot like normal but if I put my weapon away and stand stationary then they will just approach with guns drawn giving my character a chance to surrender.

Red Dead Redemption had this, if you stood still law enforcement would go easy on you
