I would likely turn off the feature because I don't need it; but I say keep it as an option for the sake of fairness. If the screen is going to be hijacked just for some mini menu to appear for weapon selection, I don't see what's so "noobish" about getting compensated with some slowed time.

If the weapon wheel doesn't have more weapon slots than in the past GTAs, then I don't see the point tbh. After 10+ years of experience with this game, myself and many other fans have memorized the never-changing format/order of weapons. If we get more slots, then icon14.gif to the weapon wheel.

For single-player, I'd say to keep it. Weapon wheels are often finicky in that you sometimes pick the wrong weapon, thus getting yourself killed. Having a little bit of extra time to make sure you picked the right weapon is ideal for me.

As for multiplayer, slowing down the time for yourself often means slowing down the time on others, and I absolutely despise the idea of other people slowing down the game on me.

In the reddit AMA (now removed from reddit), it said that when you bring up the weapon wheel the time slows down, and that Rockstar hasn't decided yet if they'll keep this feature.

What do you think? I set up a poll. Should be interesting to see how people feel.

It'd be very interesting. And in some situations it would be great considering I don't think they'll have done much to IV's cover system.

No reason to have this. Even RDR didn't have this.

This^^^^

Big NO.

Whys everyone get their panties in a bunch over this?

It's not like it's a big deal, it's just a little feature to make it that much better.. Many of us will be switching weapons so fast we probably won't even acknowledge time slows down.. it's just a little feature that doesn't really effect anything other than your response time to change weapons.

People will find anything to cry about... If people like you were making GTA we'd still be playing from a top-down view. "omg 3rd person?? that's so not gta.."

I'm sorry but why can't people go behind cover to change a gun? Better yet learn how to use the weapon wheel. Only people that want it are the people who suck at picking guns fast.

First of all name one thing it hurts going into slo motion when switching weapons?

Say you're in the desert with cops chasing after you, are you going to run to the nearest rock/cactus just so you can go into cover to change weapons or would you rather just change it right there on the spot while running?

In RDR I changed my guns often while running around. It just looks stupid when you stop and stand for 3 seconds while you're scrolling through your pistols to find the right one. I'd rather have my character continue moving in slow motion while I'm selecting my guns, it just makes everything much more fluid.

Personally I see it just to add more immersion into the gun battles. Even being in cover and switching your weapons in slow motion while seeing bullets shoot over your head would just be cool. I'm more interested in the visual aspect of it than anything.

Each character has his power.

Michael already slows down time as does franklin.

It's not needed here for hand holders. Go hold a different hand.

I think it could make for some epic moments. Imagine a cop car about to ram you or just slip past you in a dangerous near miss. For the people saying, it's not GTA like. Well, wouldn't thinking like that just stagnate the franchise. Let's give V another feature to differentiate it from its brethren.

Well since there's going to be tons of cops shooting at U (according to the previews) if U decide to take the fast route for the heist's, it's going to be helpful but it doesn't sound like GTA so I'm gonna have to see if it's great for the franchise, IF they implement it of course.

Seriously, I have a feeling that the QA guy is a troll.

f*ck it, come on R*, just give us bullet time, f*ck difficulty levels, I wanna see the entire game go by in slow motion.

Never mind that Michael and Franklin slow down time in their own ways, I want all 3 to have magic time slowing powers that I can use at any time I please.

Please R*, don't make me spend too much time playing your game, I want to get through it as easily and quickly as possible, seriously I'm not even gonna look at the scenery, unless its going slow as f*ck.

I think it sound quite nice and not at all gamebreaking/changing, when I think about seeing the bullets fly around me, whoa, I kinda want it, even tho it probably won't be as cool as I imagine^^

and that GTA is way more fast paced than RDR or Max Payne 3

How so?

Faster paced than MP3? LoOwl

OT: No. It will make the game way too easy.

I'd like this feature. I'm in a heated firefight with a bizzallion cops on the street and I wanna switch from my .45 to my RPG, it would give me a good advantage rather than f*cking around with the weapon selection and getting my ass clipped off for those 2 seconds!

Also, I hope the time would slow down or maybe at least not disapear when you pull up your phone when your getting shot at too. Remember how annoying that was in IV when you were getting shot at and you wanted to pull out your phone and get a health regen code (or call up a friend with some weapons, for you non cheating folks wink.gif ) and you get hit and the phone menu just drops? ARRGGH I hated that!

Who the f*ck calls for weapons in a gunfight! I think you mean calling up Paramedics to heal as a non cheater.

I hope they don't bring it in. It really does make the gameplay feel to easy. RDR had it perfect.

@ GrandMaster Smith It's going to make the game way too easy. Its not my fought you don't know how to switch to the right gun. This game is already easier then all GTA combine and having this makes it more easy. This is why I hate this generation of gamers. They just want to make it easier for themselves. Plus the fact that it cheapens Michael ability and Franklin ability.

Cutter De Blanc

It cheapens Michael's special ability, and if it works in cars, it cheapens Franklin's also. Who needs a special meter? Just slow down time by holding L1! icon13.gif

I'd say no thanks. Duck into cover select weapon and kick ass. Slowing time to select weapons seems like a waste of time to me.

Sorry haters, it's in. Don't bash it till you try it tounge.gif

How do you know its in the game? Rockstar said they were thinking about keeping it in. Anyways its only a clutch to help casual gamers. Any core gamer would know how easy the weapon wheel is. Go play Red Dead Redemption.

I don't really think it's needed. I'd have to try it to be sure though & by then, it would make no difference, unless it's optional (another option to add to bazillion other options people want).

Am I the only one who basically only uses SMG's anyway? lol tounge.gif
