In the reddit AMA (now removed from reddit), it said that when you bring up the weapon wheel the time slows down, and that Rockstar hasn't decided yet if they'll keep this feature.

What do you think? I set up a poll. Should be interesting to see how people feel.

No reason to have this. Even RDR didn't have this.

Happened in either max payne 3 or red dead redemption too.

You can quickly switch weapons without the wheel popping up on screen. Just press the button that brings up the wheel and quickly press left or right depending on what weapon you want. If you do it quick enough(which is easy) the character will have switched weapon without the wheel appearing.

Their is a good reason to have this, you want to switch weapon while your getting shot at in the open, you cant find the weapon your looking for on the wheel and before you know it you're dead. With the slo mo it gives you more time to find the right weapon.

Considering there are 12 slots, and that GTA is way more fast paced than RDR or Max Payne 3, I think time getting slower when you're switching weapons.

I agree with IDredMan and Red. Sometimes in RDR I have trouble finding the right weapon in a big shootout, and I end up dead or close to dead because of it. This slow-mo will be a great addition since GTA V will be even more action packed.

Rockstar knows what there doing and I'm completely thrilled with this. Gives you a few extra seconds to be a bit more Strategic in your Approach instead of looking through 12 Different Slots while getting Riddled with bullets.. THOUGH!

I did like "HAVING" to go and duck for cover to just change weapons. So hmmm.. I think i'll prefer this more though.

I'd like this feature. I'm in a heated firefight with a bizzallion cops on the street and I wanna switch from my .45 to my RPG, it would give me a good advantage rather than f*cking around with the weapon selection and getting my ass clipped off for those 2 seconds!

Also, I hope the time would slow down or maybe at least not disapear when you pull up your phone when your getting shot at too. Remember how annoying that was in IV when you were getting shot at and you wanted to pull out your phone and get a health regen code (or call up a friend with some weapons, for you non cheating folks wink.gif ) and you get hit and the phone menu just drops? ARRGGH I hated that!

I would not like this feature since it could become annoying and it is not GTA like

Not GTA like? All he's suggesting is they slow time down for a few seconds while you choose the right weapon...

Yes, I'd love this.

All the slow motion things they're implementing is going to be awesome. I was playing IV last night and it looks amazing in slow motion, I could only imagine how much better V will look being able to slow down gunfights and driving in a proper view.

This addition only adds icing to the cake, being able to slow time down with any character at any time on foot. For some reason I imagine them making the screen blurry while the weapon wheel comes up in slow motion though.

With all these easy features being added Im finding it even harder to believe that this game will be challenging at all.

I don't believe it's needed. Firstly, you soak bullets like there's no tomorrow and secondly, you ain't out in the open.

In RDR, you die faster, you're ALWAYS out in the open and even then I had no problems with it.

I mean, when are you going to switch weapon? Before you get in action and in the car. Not needed but I guess it wouldn't make a difference if it was in. Just don't believe it needs development time spent on it.

I voted "yes", but I don't really care. It doesn't add anything to the game, but it doesn't hurt it either.

This.

I hope to god it won't be added in. It would get too tedious and annoying.

It's pretty frustrating accidentally grabbing the lasso or knife when I am trying to switch to a loaded gun in the heat of a firefight in RDR. Long stream of cuss words follows. I would like to see the slo-mo wheel so I can select the intended weapon.

It will be a feature R* will add that you can turn off if you want. (My opinion)

I'm in the middle here.

I like how fast the weapon wheel is. It's so quick and easy to change weapons so I don't want to have it slow down all the time but when you're under heavy fire you can sometimes miss the weapon you are after so only then would it help to slow down time.

I hope they let us turn it on/off but it might no be so bad. They could still change it if they feel it doesn't fit.

And in the PC version it would be a little pointless IMO, thats what the slot numbers are for (from 1 to 9 on the keyboard).

Once you get used to it, thats not a problem anymore.

I would rather prefer faster animations instead, pretty much like max payne 3.

and besides, knowing the special habilities for each character, that should be only available to michael..

Personally I am not a fan of any time manipulation, I feel as though it takes away from the experience instead in enhancing it. Of course I've been not so fond of some ideas and then Rockstar pulled them off in a way that was amazing and satisfying.

Grand Theft Savage

This is for people that suck. There have been complaints that you can still be hit while switching your weapons (yeah, no sh*t). I hope they don't go through with it.

I hope so too.

This seems like one of those things where it would be stupid NOT to have it be an option you could turn on or off in the menu...
