Pay your fine and you spawn outside of the police station/jail(like all previous GTA's) 2.) It strikes a perfect balance of consequences for your actions and making you really careful to not get a guy busted, and not having to actually sit with your character in a jail cell being bored and not playing the game. And everyone complaining that they just want to go blow stuff up and have fun, 1 if youre honest with yourself you know that becomes boring after a while with no consequences (in IV what difference did it make? They gave you your guns back even!) and 2 how easy was it really to get yourself arrested as opposed to shot? Not very. Unless they pulled you from a car or you actively surrendered. RDR's bounty system was great and honestly not that much of an inconvenience for impatient, low-attention span people who just wanna create havoc. But this idea is even better. The penalty scales up with the severity of the crime But scales down with the power and money you have Paying the fine like rdr will be less annoying than having your rare guns taken How does one go from a crowbar to dual wielding rocket launchers? Won't be easy to rack up 5 stars in the first 10 minutes of the game. Say you managed to pull that off but can't afford the fine. 5 minutes of jailtime isn't the end of the world when you have 2 other characters. All 3 protagonists are already semi rich. And Michael being wealthy I don't see why paying bail would be such a big problem. More money=>more guns=>more crime/stars(killing peds/robberies)=>more money There won't be a shortage of money for bail/you get to keep your guns. Its a working system. Unless you're not planning to buy businesses or play any of the missions. (so much profit) If that's the case, GTA is not for you. You won't get any of the big guns in the game being broke. But that wouldn't be an incentive really. It would be punishment for the people that play GTA normally. And seriously, a jail system is not even close to being wanted by 10% of the GTA community. The penalty scales up with the severity of the crime But scales down with the power and money you have Paying the fine like rdr will be less annoying than having your rare guns taken How does one go from a crowbar to dual wielding rocket launchers? Won't be easy to rack up 5 stars in the first 10 minutes of the game. Say you managed to pull that off but can't afford the fine. 5 minutes of jailtime isn't the end of the world when you have 2 other characters. All 3 protagonists are already semi rich. And Michael being wealthy I don't see why paying bail would be such a big problem. More money=>more guns=>more crime/stars(killing peds/robberies)=>more money There won't be a shortage of money for bail/you get to keep your guns. Its a working system. Unless you're not planning to buy businesses or play any of the missions. (so much profit) If that's the case, GTA is not for you. You won't get any of the big guns in the game being broke. Go find mass murder simulator for your 360 Just don't make the fines too over the top expensive (Like 100,000 per murder) so I can pay bail easier, and you can have all the jail you want.
