Hvitdverg
Man, I had a dream about GTA V last night. The gameplay was highly influenced by Assassins Creed and Tony Hawk, I did not like it
meowstache
Even if Los Santos is about the same size of LC in IV, the countryside looks small to me. Also, am i the only one here who thinks this map is f*cking ugly? I dont know there should be some islands or something. it just doesnt feel like a GTA Map
Dale Nixon
Sorry, but I firmly believe the map will look nothing like that. You dont have to be sorry homes...I'm with you...that map looks f*cking retarded If that is the map then I hope I'm looking at it wrong or something i read this post in a mexican accent

kesta195
We have seen an over head shot of Los santos north south east and west. Of course we haven't seen details street by street but we have seen how big the city is. Any one who can't see that is kidding themselves. We've seen the N, W and E, but we certainly didn't see everything in the south. Judging by that highway, there's probably a decent sized island that we haven't seen. But I don't think it's more than 10-25% of the city. Nothing of significance south of the Gerald Desmond bridge.
Molotov69
The map looks pretty small to me ! but when you look at the screenshots it looks very big ! if you are scared that the map will be small just trust me, it isn't

CJ4LIFE1294
ok I too think the cvg map is a little on the small side so I edit the map they made and made the desert allot bigger and more countryside to the north if they say the city is 1 sith of the map then the map I did will look a little more close to the real one

epicluca
If you zoom in you can see the preorder map and theyve just outlined everything in paint or photoshop, along with copying the design of a user created map and recoloring it, all they've done is label like 10 points on the map
Chukkles
So is the the real map or just an estimate made up from the little info we've know?
GTAaLEX117
So is the the real map or just an estimate made up from the little info we've know? It's a map made by a user on this forum, apparently it's "mostly guesswork", but I think it's right in terms of positioning (not scale).

You can't ignore the sea, that's part of the map. It looks small to me but I'm sure it will feel massive.

I dont know there should be some islands or something. it just doesnt feel like a GTA Map I'm sure I can see a few islands on the right hand side of the slice of blueprint map. I don't know why they're not included in the 5 o'clock version. So from that I take it that there will be tons of tiny islands, and probably a few bigger ones. As for islands, there are tons of small islands around LS in the blueprint map. This...is just a fanmade "guesswork" map, I'm sure the final one will do have some bigger maps. It wouldn't be GTA without them.
CJ4LIFE1294
ok I updated the map I took the south east part of the map and cut it off because I felt it wasn't necessary I moved the desert region east north more as well
ugotsmoked
If its the same size as RDR I will be satisfied.
josephene123
If its the same size as RDR I will be satisfied. Apparently the landmass is 3.5 times RDR, but RDR wasn't actually that massive, and if GTA V was the size of RDR's playable area, it would be a very bad size imo
MuXu96
I think people are stupid, some guys here sound like they expected JC2 map size, but it was kinda obvious that people will be disappointed, I'm happy that I don't have problems like that.. The buildings won't be destructible but since this has been in production so long, many will be enter-able. RDR seemed huge because there were so many hills and winding dirt tracks and your horse could only go so fast and its stamina would run out, if you had a plane in RDR, it'd be tiny. Since there are planes in GTA V, having it the same size as RDR would be damaging to that aspect of the game to say the least. I agree though, RDR felt massive. mobe
The RDR map felt a good size for the game but it wasn't as big a map as I was expecting and it certainly wouldn't feel huge crossing it in a fast car of jet plane. Rockstar were clever with RDR in that it looked and felt bigger than it actually was. I have no worries at all that the GTAV map will feel too small. I trust Rockstar to make the map the right size for the amount of game content and the right size to keep millions of players occupied for a long time after release. I suspect that with all the under water stuff there is to explore and all the other stuff there is to do in the game the map will undoubtably feel over whelming for some people. People played San Andreas for a good 2-3 years before they'd finally rung over last ounce of fun out of the map. I suspect GTAV will give players at least that amount of time and almost certainly a whole lot more.
