flashharry Posted May 30, 2013 Share Posted May 30, 2013 Such as 99.9% of the people on this forum i am also buzzing about GTA V, it promises to be a truly great game and i've got no doubt it will achieve pretty much all the expectations we have... when the news about the game being delayed first hit the web much like most fans i was pretty gutted, but if it was to improve the game and make it better for its audience its difficult to be that dissapointed. That brings me on to the topic of next gen. We all know the Xbox one and PS4 are coming round about October-December time and its got me thinking that the possibility of GTA V also hitting the next gen is pretty much 100%. I mean people still play GTA IV now, the main reason you could argue is because it is still on the current gen consoles, however, i find it very hard to believe Rockstar would be nieve enough to think people will still play GTA V in a few years on out of date kit. the main purpose of this topic is to find out whether people think the next gen version of the game will be released not long after the launch of the next gens. Personally i think the experience on the next gen in comparison to current gen will be a HUGE step up and for a massive game like GTA V i know id be happy to wait for the next gen game release if it wasn't too far away from the original game release. I would be quite happy playing it on a PS3 for quite a few years after PS4/XboxOne were out. If you have a ps3/360 just buy it on that. at least we know it will be out on those platforms. unless you don't really care about GTA then go ahead and wait for something that might never arrive. if you can wait months then you surely won't mind if you never play it. But I probably won't be willing to buy a PS4 until the price drops, because GTA is almost the only game I play. tenpennyisplainevil Posted May 30, 2013 Share Posted May 30, 2013 It will take horrendously long to convert V into next-gen, stretching far beyond the next-gen release. Besides that, V could have way more features than on current-gen. It seems a waste of time and resources to me. V is practically ready, so in a few months I presume work on IV would've started, which will utilise the full potential of next-gen, unlike some PS3/X360 port.
