Rockstar Created Present Day Setting Big City Focused Story taking place Before, During, and After Zombie Outbreak Could be good for some satire too, the same way Dead Rising had a lot of consumerism/consumption stuff. If Zelnic wants to do zombies, he should do them properly. Order the development of a brand new open world game series for a post apocalyptic zombie survival game with it's own dedicated gameplay and storyline. But the really cool thing about zombie stories, in my opinion, is the eerie feel of emptiness and society having fallen. Therefore i think it would be cool if, instead of zombies, they had a natural disaster, or an outbreak caused by crazy epsilon members which killed off most of the population. Society has crumbled, and all that are left are roaming gangs of psychos and cannibals, and other survivors have set up outposts here and there. You have to survive by scavenging and the streets are dangerous due to all the different gangs. To be honest, I don't think they would re-hash old ground - especially since the whole zombies thing is worn out. Zombies seemed to fit the world of RDR very well, but I don't think that GTA would benefit from them in any way. It's tough to say but heck, we don't get payed to think of these things and these guys do, so surely they can come up with something as fun as zombies that isn't zombies right? I think tlad is a great example, throwing you into the biker world and making the bike the preferable mode of transport in a gta game is a good effort. Just like driving games, crime games, RPG's, sports games, shooters, platformers... It'd be really cool if GTA was about a pink Dragon-Rabbit who has to fight Hitler in Pandora with the power of love because that's so fresh and not overused Many Zombie games aren't bad because they have zombies in it but because the developers don't know what they're doing Rockstar on the other hand isn't that bad and I'm sure they'd know how to make zombies interesting in their game Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jolzew1 Posted May 31, 2013 Share Posted May 31, 2013 Don't care what anyone says, rockstars take on modern day zombie apocalypse would be something special providing they do it right and put more emphasis on the survival aspect rather than the mindless shooting of zombies with infinite ammo. INB4 the "this aint resident evil" bullsh*t I think that would be awesome.. survival angle on it... you're at one end of the map and have to make it to the other... zombies use line of sight just like the cops so you can use strategy and aren't just getting attacked like they automatically know where you are. Name a recent game that has actually done modern Zombies well. The Walking Dead is the only one, and that was more an interactive story. The rest are rubbish. The Last of Us. We will not be Getting a ELFC Like a new story for 3 new charatcers all over again,btu we Can get a zombie story mode,with same 3 guys we already have, with 30 missions or so of it. Trying to survive through all the hoards with a customized pickup with rollcage and all the works. I think its a great idea n i would buy it.
