What are your fears for the game?

Snake Without a Tongue

I HATED not being able to change the camera in RDR... for about a week. Then when I went back to GTAIV I left the camera in the farthest back position. It's fun being able to see the horizon as you play. I hope they leave it as an option, though.

Car handling is a big fear of mine. I loved the handling in IV, don't want it to change.

I worry the game will be too linear. I fear that I'll want to fiddle around but there will be a constant pop-up requiring I change characters, or continue the storyline, or something.

Like blakeney said, I hope my PS3 and my TV hold out another four months.

I fear that the gameplay will be dumbed down.

I'm worried about all beta features that could be removed from the game.

Same here bro sarcasm.gif

if there is no Undead Nightmare DLC, The ghetto small and gang activity is like IV (Dead and lifeless),no gang turfs (at least for when franklin is STILL with Lamar as a part of story.)

no tasers/stunguns and handcuffs to chain people like a lasso in RDR.

other then that im good.

Cops.

My fear is that the cops in V will be as abundant and persistent and hypersensitive as the cops in IV. I read somewhere that this won't be the case, so I'm hopeful. It's not like it's hard to evade them in IV, the problem is that practically every minor criminal activity you do will get the cops on you and you will need to waste time getting away from them. In a game that revolves around criminal activity, this becomes a major nuisance.

My one fear for GTA V is being forced to do missions like Mafia 2.

I want to explore and take my time with the storyline.

The Leprechaun

My fears have mostly to do with mission timing and feeling free to play in the big new sandbox and whether some missed planning (obviously not a lot), can be made up in skill/luck. Driving doesn't scare me that much, I'd prefer something of a mix between GTA 4 and GTA SA's driving.

Only thing that is scaring me is the amount of missions there are, hopefully they don't reduce it just because there's 3 protagonists. Apart from that everything else is just fine, probably the mini map but I won't be sure on it until I see it myself.

1.driving will be easier and more arcade-ish so boring

2.They will limit the vehicles available in multiplayer free mode like in IV

3.Buzzards and Fighter jets could end up as overpowered means of killing online like buzzard did in tbogt,if you had it and you were good At it no one could kill you

I hope they haven't screwed up the health regeneration. We know that it has been implemented. But hopefully it's like in Mafia 2 or Sleeping Dogs.

If you get hit, your health will only regenerate to a certain point. So it still makes sense to go to sleep, eat or get a health pack.

2. Framerate (GTA IV had already framerate problems)

I'm a little worried about the health regeneration. For me, that was one of the reasons Saints Row lacked intensity at all. I like being in tough situations with low ammo, low health and on the run, but if health regenerates that'll somewhat diminish some of the intensity for me

So far R* has NEVER disspointed me and I enjoy their games very much. I guess the only fear for me could be the lack of cheats. GTA4 didn`t had any great cheats. R* you could disable autosaving or any saving when a cheat is activated, I don`t care. I just want to be able to print out 3-5 A4 pages of cheats. Just look at San Andreas, there was so many cheats I could play it for hours and hours without getting bored. In GTA4 I get bored fast, because there isn`t much to do after campaign.

But the previous system was sh*tty as well. Like, you had really low health, still you had moments to wait, and you just needed one punch or fall down a bit and you were dead. A little regeneration is ok. But not fully.

My biggest worry is the handling of the characters and the vehicles. In 4 the characters movements were clunky and slow and the cars handling was heavy and cumbersome. Some vehicles spun out of control too easily and others didn't want to turn at all. On foot, Niko had the speed and turning circle of a bus, it just wasn't that fun.

I believe this is a major factor in making 4 so boring at times. They need to bring the fun factor back and it all comes down to how it all "feels" when you control your character. If they bring back that magical gameplay from SA, I'll be happy.

The BIG one we should ALL be worried about -

Nothing to do at the end of the storyline!

Major gripe with IV was exactly this. Are you really going to bother going off to kill all the flying rats just to get a helicopter when there's a perfectly good one to steal? Are you going to go bowling with Roman for the 100th time? What about dating remember when you drive halfway across the city to take her somewhere different and she goes 'I don't like this place. Take me somewhere else' that was so annoying. There was just nothing to do because I saw the whole map during the game so there was no reason to go exploring again. Grand Theft Auto V should have plenty of activities to enjoy so hopefully by the end there will still be lots to be seen and explored.

IV was their first game on the new engine and everything was new to them just like it was to us seeing euphoria at work after the ''static'' peds from previous GTA's.

They did say cars are fixed to have better handling unlike boat-like handling in IV and characters will probably be easier to control too.
