Every GTA to date has been complete. Unlike Call of Duty fans never had to buy additional features until now. suicidal.gif

Why I ask. For year GTA has been simple now it's like their sticking a middlen finger up at us. It looks like if we want the FULL game we're going to have to pay alot more $$$ to get it. SHAME ON YOU ROCKSTAR.

I believe we will get a full game. Even GTA IV had DLC, but the DLC was quite good implemented in the story. RDR had acceptable DLC as well. I hope R* will release some sort of MP related content or some good story DLCs like TLaD, TBoGT or Undead Nightmare...

Quit yo complaining, they will put the in game content for sale in the marketplace in a year or so, DLC like Oynox said, and/or GOTY edition.

Have you ever played GTA IV? or Red Dead Redemption? or Max Payne 3?

It isn't something new actually

Well.. I'm not a kid and neither am I going to school.

I'll be getting the Collectors Edition - As always, however, I am very disappointed.

Day 1 DLC, digital content for single player? That's bullsh*t. Rockstar have never done it with GTA and it looks like the start of a sh*tty relationship.

Why, Oh why you say?

Well, lets say, you get GTA V and your internet is down? Your whole town is offline for a month.

Not a full game any more?

It's almost as bad as Xbone forcing users to check in online every 24 hours.

I'm getting sick of this day one single player DLC content. Especially "Pre-Order" bonus bullsh*t.

Heck, if you want to give people pre-order bonus, why not give them some merchandise instead of digital content?

I'm fine, absolutely fine with them releasing day one multiplayer dlc for EVERYONE to purchase but including digital content as part of a collectors pack.. pittyful.

Just like ya'll can't see why I'm annoyed about this, I can't see why you're so Okay with your favourite gaming series being demeaned like this.

Eh, I think all the complaining is a bit overboard, no one is forcing you to shell out the money, you're not missing missions or an extra in game island, it could be a lot worse then just missing a few guns and cars if you don't buy the Collector's Edition. Very little reason to complain, it's not like there won't be a lot of stuff in the game without it, it's Rockstar guys, they load their game's with content, expect a lot of stuff no matter what version you get. As opposed to CoD which gives you a 4 hour campaign and repetitive multiplayer.

Yeah it does suck. It's only going to get worse though once they realise that people will keep paying up no matter how much they compain while doing so.

Seriously dude? You are f*cking complaining that all of the sh*t we've seen in the last year and a half isn't a full game?

Please, f*ck off. I don't get pissed like this too often, but for you to suggest that Grand Theft Auto is heading the direction of CoD in terms of game content, you are a complete imbecile, and should just leave. This will be the most content packed game at launch to hit the market in video game history, without any exaggeration. No other game I can think of has ever had so much packed into it, in such detail. And you have the audacity to say that it isn't enough for you? mercie_blink.gif

Dude.. Its not about the money.. Not at all.

Its the principle. Don't you see??

As a GTA fan, you will want anything and everything GTA related to be in your GTA game. You want the "Full" Experience.

Even the smallest detail or missing content will piss you off.

Why do we complain? We complain because we care and the last thing we want to see is GTA go down the slippery slope of EA or one of the many other publishers that purposefully omit content to get users to pay.

Truth be told, if GTA V was $80, for standard edition and there was no bonus/pre-order dlc, I'd still buy it.

I'd know that I'm getting the "Full" version of my GTA.

No it's not, it's just some people have principles & don't like to be manipulated (clearly you don't mind). Take the Xbone for example. It wouldn't matter if I was a millionaire & could afford to buy every game new & then throw it in the bin when finished, I still wouldn't buy it.

I'm sorry, but you're being bothered way to much about Rockstar doing this, it's only a video game, they need to do what they're doing to make as much money as Activision and EA, they're a company, that's the key purpose of a company is to be a successful as possible. You're not losing missions or anything related to the story if you don't get the CE, and if you want what's in the CE, then get it. They've announced it in plenty of time for you to save up your money.

How do you know that there not just adding more to the game rather than taking sh*t out of the original?

That's the thing, even if a company is supporting a game throughout its life with all this DLC you will always get people saying the added content should have been in the original game.

People are getting mixed up with DISC LOCKED CONTENT and DOWNLOADABLE CONTENT.

All of the pre-order and CE/SE content is most likely already on the disc.

Stop whining, the game comes with full content for all...the rest of the stuff are bonus added in + for you people ! You always look from the wrong angle like someone is ripping you off or not giving the entire game, WRONG !

But it's all pre-release content that's on the disc, you just unlock by pre-ordering or by paying more. And the time and money used to create the "extra" content, is time not spent on the actual game. You're getting ripped off if you do buy it and you're getting ripped off if you don't, because the money you pay for the standard game payed for the pre-order and CE content to be made. So you pay for stuff you don't get, or you pay twice to get stuff you already paid for.

The way I'm going about it is that I'll buy the normal edition and I'll possibly buy the R* pass that includes all DLC. This way I'll be paying for the new DLC R* make and the stuff in these editions will be a "free" bonus to me. I won't include them in the price of the R* pass when deciding if it's worth it.

You could buy the game in a sale and use the money you "save" to buy the DLC thus making the price of a full game or you could wait for the inevitable Game of the Year version. Personally I'm not a very patient man so won't be waiting even if I am paying more for things. For every problem there is a solution. It's up to you to find that solution.

Come back and complain when they remove cars, bikes, weapons, clothes, tattoos from the game.

All the digital content is just some more of what is already in the game:

• 25% special ability booster - every one will be able to use the special abilities with out without this bonus.

• 3 weapons - will be loads of weapons already in the game.

• 2 cars / 1 bike - pretty sure we'll have other cars to use.

• stunt plane trials - Rockstar said ADDITIONAL so that means there already trials in the standard game. You're just getting some more.

• tattoos/clothes - again this just gives you some more.

• blimp - fair enough but it will be available for everyone eventually and it's no big deal if we can't pilot it anyway.

• online characters - you're just paying to use classic characters. You can make your own.

2 out of 7 are unlocks. 5 out of 7 are additional items.

Guess what? You buy the standard version, you get the complete game. Everything needed to play and beat that game, it's in there. You need nothing else. Now, if you want to spend a little bit extra money for some stuff that you won't need, but would enjoy, well you can, but don't have to. I understand times are tough, and it's very hard to justify a price tag so high for something like a video game. But this isn't COD Modern Warfare Operations 3: The return of fish. It isn't a yearly title. I'd never spend this amount of coin on something that was put out by activision, or whomever is making those WWE games currently. Because those never change. They're the same thing as last year, over and over.

But GTA is more of an experience than it is a game. It's another world to exist in. I'd put in closer to WoW than I would anything else on a console, that's for sure. Point being, you don't have to if you won't want to, but if you can, you should.

Virtually no one here will be that patient, It's utter agony these last couple of months & it won't turn to excitement until we are 3-4 weeks away. The only thing I care about is that blimp, which I'll be getting, because I pre-ordered & paid in full from one of the stores listed on R*'s preorder page. Doesn't mean I'm not a little perturbed that it's locked content for everyone who hasn't pre-ordered.

Let's not forget about SRTT & the man-a-pult vehicle, which was shown in the first demo footage (like the blimp in V's first trailer). So basically, R* (probably with pressure from Take2) are now acting like Volition, when it comes to flogging their wares. Sorry, as much as I love R* & everything they make, the pedestal I put them on seems that bit lower now. confused.gif

As someone already said, it's not about those "extras", it's about the principle behind them.

"EA and Ubisoft sucks, R* NEVER did any DLCs"

Then there was TLAD and TBOGT

"Those DLCs had a totally new gameplay and storyline, they are not some kind of cut material, or some stupid extra-content like Ubisoft or EA"

Then there were DLCs in RDR and Max Payne 3

"R* won't do any DLC for GTA"

And now, bonus material for GTA V... i don't care how do you want to call them, they will sold them as DLC in the future.

The real problem is not "Why did R* made DLCs?" but "How far a company can go?" We already saw companies that are some step beyond R*, with massive contents sold as DLCs (wrestling games that sold wrestling moves, racing games that sold hyper-powered cars, story-based games that sold part of the story etc...). I think R* will learn from them, it's only a matter of time... and I don't like it.

Rockstar have done this before with LA Noire, Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne 3. There is absolutely no reason to get mad over a few pieces of content that truth be told you will not use.

How come nobody gets pissed over Rockstar who did the very same thing before Red Dead Redemption? Pre-order the game and get Golden Guns, War Horse and Deadly Assassin outfit. What did Rockstar do? They released the pre-order content shortly after.

The same goes for both LA Noire. If you pre-ordered the game you got the Naked City case which was a whole case cut from the game. I didn't see anybody being pissed about that.

Even Max Payne 3 had this. If you pre-ordered the game you could get multiplayer content from different retailers. After about a month that content was made available as purchasable DLC. Hell, even the Special Edition of Max Payne 3 had exclusive content that was made available shortly after.

No one has an excuse to get angry over this because they have done it before.

How does anyone here know for FACT that the additional stuff given at release is already on-disc? How do we know it isn't a small DLC download? Why is there so much hate against people paying more to get DLC? Why should those who paid less than others be pissed that they don't get some cool perks that they didn't pay for?

There is more than enough in the original game to warrant the $60 price tag. If there is someone willing to fork over another $20 (of which there are many someones) to get another $20 worth of content, why the f*ck are those who didn't pay the extra bit complaining? They don't pay, they don't get the content. Simple.

Capitalism at work.

I can see where people are coming from IF this ends up being content already on the disk, because that means they could have originally planned for it to be in the game, however if the files only exist on the CE disk then that probably means it was added and not removed then added to the CE.

I wonder if all the content and features they have talked about in previews was cut and put in the form of dlc.
