AI. No, I ain't talking about NPC or Police or any other horrible AI. And from previous GTA's.. AI hasn't been there best part of a GTA Game, so.. What if we have two horrible, terrible AI Partners, sure.. Not all 3 will be.. You know, involved.. But on these Heists and such, isn't anybody worried.. I mean I don't want to enter a Mission where I am the only one Taking Out people while Trevor Or Michael or Franklin Trevor or either which way are just standing around in the middle of the Gunfire or just.. Or shooting bullets into full air.. Everything else seems perfect, but.. This could really bring down the game alot.. But I have faith in Rockstar. We'll wait and see, pretty sure in RDR the Friendly AI did a Good Job.. Or I might be remembering in-correctly.

Yes, I am sure they have as well. I just hope there ain't any Mission Breakers because of a Miss-step in the Partner AI during a specific level which.. well.. Kills it? Come on, with all these games coming out all the time you hardly hear any game get good positive points about the AI.. And usually it's always Negative. Either way, as I recall.. RDR didn't a good job with the Team AI, and I am certain they've taken care of it in this game.. I ain't worried about anything else, I think it'll be a great accomplishment.. I just hope it doesn't take away anything from the game if there is simple and stupid miss-steps with your AI Partners. I can see myself playing as Franklin with the Sniper Rifle and watching Michael instead of Smashing Through the Window along the wall of that Building in the one of those trailers and watching him "Miss-step" Either, get blown away or.. Fall out the window, which would be quite funny. That ain't going to happen though, be in my imagination that'd be pretty funny.

I just hope to hell that neither the other protags or the hired henchmen get in my line of fire, the way that Armando and Henrique always do in the Drug Wars in TBOGT. tounge.gif

Same, I don't want them in my Line of Fire.. Luckily from what we here they'll all have there own roles, but think about it.. You've got 6 Heists.. One of the Trailers Featured all 3 Protags, not only that we have hired Henchman, what if we get a Getaway Driver who, well.. is a sh*t driver. I don't want to have to restart my missions just because of a stupid f*ck up, and TBH if something like that happened like even some stupid AI movement I'd want to restart the mission because it wouldn't seem well.. Perfect? And it has to be, because I'm a fussy mudda f*cker.

I don't think it will be a problem, because R* knows the other protagonists are not just side characters. If it becomes a problem at any point, at least we can probably do some micromanaging and switch to them.

 

I know exactly what you're talking about though. This was even pissing me off in MP3. Your partner would just stay in cover and shoot with the worst aim. At one point I just sat there and watched him for a couple of minutes. I love games that give you people on your team who actually handle business. R* deliberately makes them suck, so you are forced to do all the work. I get their reasoning, but it's pointless and it kills immersion.

It'd kill the immersion, the immersion in the story as well.. Think about it, we got these three characters to follow, but your in a mission playing along side maybe one or both other protags and next second they're shooting bullets into the air and spraying clips like they are candy.. Mission ends and next up, your playing as one of those horrible shooting Protags and your thinking.. Wait, this guy sucks.. How can I take this guy seriously now.

 

Sure, we'll get over it.. But it'll kill a bit of the fun and thrill out of the game and character switching, kind of makes me want to play the game over 3 Times by Playing 1 by 1 by 1. Either way Rockstar has a Incredible Opportunity to pull this off and put a different type of Spin on the whole Genre and Reliable AI.
