Shenmue18
This game series is incredibly popular, GTA IV and San Andreas especially, those two sold like hotcakes. It'll be a few years before we get another one as Rockstar isn't Activision and they actually care about the quality of their games and want the fans to be happy with what they put out as opposing to a series like Call of Duty that keeps churning out games year after year as the quality of each game goes down. When they develop GTA games is when Rockstar seems to be at their best, all the Grand Theft Auto games have been a critical success so they have no reason to end the franchise unless they feel it's getting stale or bad. But they don't over saturate the market (Like I said before.) and their is still plenty of directions for them to go with this series. In short, no. That is actually a really good point because after that then the franchise would be just about finished really, they would have used up everything they had in their minds
RockstarMark
If you are actually being serious...No. This is exactly why they only make new GTA's every few years. It is Rockstar's marquee franchise and they want it to remain as such for many years to come.
epicluca
Besides there's always room for improvement. Each time they make the game bigger, better, funner. And to be honest there have only been 6 proper GTA games (III, VC, SA, IV, V,CW) that will have proper well thought out stories, all the others like LCS, VCS, EFLC, just branch their stories from whatever game they branch off of, so in saying that I don't think R* will run out of ideas anytime soon. Mokrie Dela
Do you think there's any chance V will be R*s last GTA game? Don't get me wrong: I don't like the idea but it just occurred to me; maybe that's why the went all in on this game (having every major feature every GTA game has ever had). What do you think? I think some people need to go outside. Seriously, there's more to life than making topic. Go and live your life, and GTA will be here before you know. That's my honest answer. If that's too brash for you, then fine: No, rockstar and take two arent in danger, gta will not be ended as its too profitable and also their pride. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Click here to view my Poetry

d3ex2
I wouldn't worry. The day Rockstar stops making a GTA game is when it doesn't turn a profit or when Rockstar/TakeTwo cease to exist. GTA brings in millions for them. Rockstar wouldn't be the same company if GTA didn't sell. Just imagine what you think would happen if GTA III was a failure. Sure, they'd still make games but GTA gave them so much money that they could expand to become one of the worlds biggest game companies. GTA is a world famous series. Everybody has heard of it at one point or another. It has long been the case that people buy a GTA game just purely because it's GTA. People know it isn't a rehash that is put every year. It offers something new and exciting. When you think of GTA and R* you KNOW it is gonna be an amazing high quality game so you don't even think twice about buying it. Think back to 25th October 2011 when V was announced. What if we got absolutely no trailers/screenshots or any kind of information what so ever. No marketing. Just the GTA V logo on a website then the game was released a week later. How many people do you think would buy it? I, for one, would. When you see GTA in the title you know you need to have it no matter what. I bought IV purely because it was a GTA game. I didn't follow anything before release. I saw the release date and one or two screenshots and then I went and bought it. When all that ends then GTA will. The day it turns no profits. The day Rockstar/TakeTwo don't exist. The day the name GTA is associated with crap. That day is VERY VERY far away. GTA V will be a big hit. I know people who don't even play games that much or even own a console who are planning on buying this game. That's how attractive it is. How can Rockstar ever refuse to release a GTA game when it's this big? GTA V is shaping up to possibly be the best ever ROCKSTAR game released. So don't worry. richard1997jones
Well Rockstar are a major company who don't just make GTA games. They make one off epics like LA Noire as well as series such as Max Payne. I doubt this will be the last GTA let's face it, every GTA to date has been cutting edge. I think the next GTA will depend alot more on how GTA V sales go and what the PS4 and new XBOX are like. GTA is a never ending franchise let's face it every single one of them is unique even though the structure is the same.

viperdk
I'd like to see a return to Vice City (totally different from the PS2 version of course). That would be great. As far as a new city, that'd be great too. They've always mentioned Carcer City in previous titles, why not a GTA based in that city?
Chekoloco
Nope.... On the Game Informer preview they mention another GTA next to V.... so NOPE!
Fisha695
GTA is a franchise that can both go on forever but yet at the same time must eventually die. With the series not being based on movies/books (as in licensed games for) there is no necessary end in sight, it's not like "oh hey there are only this many books so yeah we can't really do much more", however there comes a time where the G.T.A. of GTA becomes so much on the back burner to the other aspects of the game (and it seems each game we're getting closer & closer to that point) that it becomes time to step-back and either end the franchise to start a new similar IP or to take a step back & completely reboot from the ground up while keeping the name (think of what EA recently did with the NFS series).
