I did not make this Map (Credit to GTA5-Series)

^ For those who are still expecting Las Venturas and San Fierro when reading the word "cities" (plural) from some previewers, this map clarifies the use. Santa Monica isn't Los Angeles. So 2 cities. tounge.gif

Hollywood is technically another small town/city as well, Malibu is as well and it appears that it is in the game.

Hollywood is actually a part of the city of Los Angeles, it is not its own city.

Yes it is part of the city now, but abou t80years ago it was not. It was actually a separate town tounge.gif

Even GTA4 is misunderstood. GTA4 had 2 cities: Liberty City and Alderney. The difference between GTASA's Los Santos and GTA4's Liberty City is that the last is OFFICIALLY divided into 2 cities.

Even more if the wikis are to be believed. At one point I read stuff like Westdyke, Leftwood, etc. are all based on small New Jersey suburbs (don't know the actual names, I have no familiarity with the area). All I know off hand is Alderney CIty = Jersey City, and the rest were suburbs of that supposedly. Even if they're not I prefer to think of them that way, just small little townships. It makes the world of IV seem more alive and populated.

You have a point. If you actually divide the GTA4 map as it should, only the area known as Alderney would be made of more than 1 city.

The observatory is labeled wrong. It goes right under the "F" in "Golf". The winding road to it is the same as the one in the observatory screenshot.

I think the map is correct. If it was really close to where the golf course is, you wouldn't be able to see the observatory on THIS screenshot (it's right "behind" the oil pump).

hmmm, I guess you're right. But that single building on that longer road does look like it has some importance though.

I'm gonna be honest here... the city is fine to me, but how the f*ck is that almost the same size as Liberty City? I figured more than that was hidden behind that bridge. Oh well, I'm cool with it. I'm more excited for the countryside honestly smile.gif

Yeah, the Alderney island is part of the state of Alderney (based on the New Jersey state), and all the little "boroughs" in it are actually cities, based on the real New Jersey cities (e.g.: Leftwood = Englewood) with some based on more than one (e.g.: Alderney City = Jersey City, Newark and Fort Lee), hell, even GTA 1's Liberty City was like this, with New Guernsey being the New Jersey spoof, Fort Law being Fort Lee, etc. and was also more geographically accurate, although much smaller and compressed as well.
