I asked for and got GTA 1 and 2 for Christmas that year but GTA 2 didn't work properly on the family computer so I mainly just played GTA 1. GTA III is what really made me a fan though. Those games kept me so entertained, and made me lose much sleep. They're still amazing to this day. GTA 3 was the one we mostly played. I was 6 at the time, my brother and his friend was 10-11. Eventually got my own copy few months before Vice City came out. When VC came out, we rented it first. I remember my mom saying what so different in this one? Oh we can go inside buildings in this one!!!! Then San Andreas, for my PC (I had played it before in a PS2). The fun thing is that even if I hadn't played it, San Andreas was something big for me when I was a kid. I guess it was soon after the game came out, I loved to hear a friend speak about it, and the things that could be done. I remember that in a classroom of my school there was a poster of SA, which had pictures of CJ in a motorbike running through some railway and riding a zodiac close the SF "Golden Gate". Matty Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 GTA: Vice City was the first GTA that I ever played, which was back in 2003-04; if I remember correctly, at a friends house - just driving around, causing chaos and everything within the game world. I picked up the top-down GTA's (GTA (one), GTA 2) not too long afterwards and when I got a PS2 - GTA III and GTA: Vice City were the first games I got for it.
