Borras81
Just reding the IGN preview by Keza Macdonald on google and she says " the world looks more open reactive and detailed than before, both within the CITIES and the countryside". Maybe this is a spelling mistake but on the other hand surely Rockstar must check what the press have written before they publish their previews so wouldn't they have told IGN to correct this if it's a mistake ? Hmmm.
Miami-Florida.
I Always thought there was a Second City that Rockstar didn't want to tell us. But it's still early days yet.
AZAZEL
You must really have been fighting the urge to make "San Fierro and Las Venturas confirmed!" the topic title.
Scampi
She's probably just being lax about the distinction between towns and cities. We already know there'll be several country communities, so it's probably just easier to say cities as a blanket statement without getting into specifics. slumdunder
I always hate when people being interviewed say something that's so open to interpretation haha. Cue two factions with different understandings of this statement starting a battle soon; the "LA is made up of multiple cities" faction versus the "there are large cities we have no clue about yet" faction. Seenyour31
I still believe there is a 2nd smaller city in the game based on several things seen in screenshots or written about, guess we'll have to wait and see.
Patriot_Action
I always hate when people being interviewed say something that's so open to interpretation haha. So people should be extra careful what they say, just so rabid fans don't overanalyze it and draw a false conclusion from it? Have you seen some of the threads on these forums, and the lengths to which people extrapolate minor details? e.g., "electric cars" = functioning fuel system confirmed! IAMSHUGO
I wouldn't read too far into it. It's like saying "over in the suburbs" or "the ghettos." It's just a casual way of talking.
Durden
I have a story to tell you, so grab some popcorn: Once upon a time, I was reading a famous, critically-acclaimed Novella. I noticed a spelling mistake. The end. Moral of the story? f*ck that you can figure it out yourself.

Distrom
IGN makes a review, and the editor spells cities instead of city, SF and LV confirmed. there maybe a small city beyond in the north, bigger than those small towns across Blaine County, but smaller than LS, but I don't think so. DS 17
They have always said there will be more cities than LS. Sandys Shore or Sandy Shores, whatever, is also a city. So we got a second city already in the trailer, although it's more a small town than a city. Hopefully there's still more than that.

Above
There has to be another urban area, maybe not as huge as Los Santos, but something that doesn't qualify as a town.

Hmmm I don't remember any reviewer stating that they saw the map, maybe I forgot, even so maybe R* made all who saw gameplay sign a non-disclosure agreement about what they could and couldn't reveal/mention. Regardless I just can't wait to play this game, and see what surprises are in it.

AuSsIeThUnDeR36
I remember seeing in the 1st trailer, the scene with the electric fans turning and the Bobcat kicking dust up...way in the distance you can just make out a tall red bridge. Which reminded me of Golden Gate bridge > San Fierro maybe?

There is to much of the map that would be baron without other places to visit, I dont think there are cities though but big towns.. Sandy towns, coastal resorts, town up in the mountains.. there is no point in half of the map being dead.
