Reminds me of the unboxing of MLP happy meals from some dude. People like the dude I linked to makes legit model railroader dudes look like autistics. I remember I was at a model train show earlier this month, and I saw some 19/20 something year old dude standing by some stand while his mom/grandmother argued with the stand owner over some thomas model. Friggin unbelievable. That would make for a neat random encounter in V though, if we can grab the thomas fan by the throat and yell "GET A JOB SO YOUR FOLKS DONT HAVE TO BUY PRESCHOOLER TOYS FOR YOU" at them. Bonus points if they cry Hey man. Thats not pathetic. Everyone has their own hobbies and obsessions. Just let him rock. You dont know what kind of problems he has. I know a lot of people like that. If you're an adult, you should be able to buy stuff for yourself, rather than dragging your folks to a model train show and making them buy toys for you. Have you ever heard of an autistic person? Yes, but that's not an excuse. According to my folks, my brother was autistic, and he was in the marines. I'm almost positive that he's able to buy things for himself. Not all autistics are the same. There are high funcioning ones and there are ones that have the brains of a litte child. Kim peek also known as the rain man was in his 50's and his father had to take care of him. Autism ranges. That's true, but regardless, shouldn't they learn how to take care of themselves, rather than having to rely on a third party for everything? Depends how functioning they are. If they are high functioning the yes. A job, some friends. They need that. But ones that are stuck at a young age mentaly are very fagile. And this world is a terrible place Zuckmeslow is correct. There are different ranges of autism, some being very high functioning, while others can not develop and remain with the mentality of a child. Both of my brothers are autistic. One is into Thomas the Tank Engine currently, but goes through many phases such as Mario, Angry Birds, etc. While the other is quite highly developed and has been improving in school quite well in the past few months after falling behind in class. However sometimes, I do worry how they will cope in the future, like getting a job, new home and such. But me and the family are trying our best to help prepare them for later life. I really wish people would know more about what they make fun of before they mock it. I'm not saying you were deliberately attempted to mock autism universetwisters, but I've seen many people on here and other sites take the p*** out of it, and it really frustrates me because most of them have no idea what they are talking about. I can't even find a job myself because I'm blind in my left eye, and it's really hard for me to see things. Also I wear thick glasses so that doesn't help the problem either. Everyone is different. But you're right, if they can physically work and have no problems, then they should get a job, but it isn't that easy finding one these days.
