Since R* showed the character switching thing during the demos they must have had a look on that google Earth style map, probably showing large parts of the map, maybe even the hole thing. I made a gta v map ages ago, basing it off all the screenshots we have seen and checking it and rechecking it again. It took me a couple of months to just make it look decent enough. They might remember the general shape/size, or sections, so they might have an advantage over us there. At least the proportions of the land mass should be accurate, whereas our fan maps are just guesses of what could be. And to be honest, I just expect the map contours, nothing more. Lol theyre probably having some moron draw what some other moron can remember from seeing the previews. But I'm excited for this. They've seen the game itself - so their judgement is better than any at this stage. Yes, the fan maps are great, but nobody has seen the game quite like these guys have... they may have some small tidbits they remember of the map to help shape it up.
