dyspoid
I will buy CE if I have the money. Most people will. However, it would not be for exclusive content. That is just ludacris. I highly doubt Rockstar will deny the money of the majority. CE comes out, people upload videos. People with SE, who are the majority, pay the $3 or whatever for access to the blimp. The CE merely stimulates sales. Regardless, a CE should come with some more physical things. A plastic blimp or something lame, I would be happy with. Extra content is silly. Triple Vacuum Seal
@OP What a boot-licker. Why does it matter if others get the content later on? The extra $100 is the fan boy surcharge. Either own it or wait for it to come out via digital download like the rest of the consumers. "shut up, sit down, relax"
stranger44
I can't be the only person who thinks it's weird that the term "Special Edition" has been replaced with "Game of the Year" edition. I mean, even if you were the undisputed Game of the Year, you'd still have to be pretty arrogant to called your expanded version the "Game of the Year" edition. cholesterol
Is anybody else sick of release day DLC? My god JUST RELEASE A GAME FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. Not separate pieces of a game (that are more than likely on the disc ALREADY) to make a quick slimy buck. DLCs should be for LATER not DAY ONE, JESUS what the actual hell has the games industry turned into? You know what don't even bother with the DLC just charge us more for the actual game! R* doing this crap now with GTA is an all time low for the industry. /endrant
Bantri
Don't be so sure any of the DLC will be available later on. It's exclusive for a reason. It's not selfish to want it to stay exclusive. What's the point in paying all the extra money then? Not all DLC has to be out later on, and this special character stuff, garage and cars that are included in the Collectors Edition are there for the ones who buy it to "show their status" in a way. Maybe I can put this into better perspective... Millionaires don't join an exclusive club when all their benefits of the club will then be open to everyone later on for cheap. There is no point in it's exclusivity to begin with. Maybe an easier one... I don't get angry that I don't have a cape on my Minecraft character that only people who went to Minecon got. They went, I didn't, they paid to go, I didn't. How would that feel if all of the sudden, they let any person get a Minecraft Cape for like $2? That just wouldn't be fair to the ones who actually went to the convention. Same thing here. Anyone who pays $150 for a video game with small physical items and only a few DLC more than the Special edition deserves that same exclusiveness as any thing else. Just because DLC exists, doesn't mean it will be out for everyone. Rockstar would not sell DLC for $5 later, when CE owners paid $90 more for it. It's not selfish put into context, and if you can't see that, you are too busy acting childish. I can agree though, the DLC is not worth it. But there's the exclusiveness again. If not a whole lot of the CE are being made, it's value stays high.

Mr Makaveli
@OP Eat a dick. already getting butt hurt over some "exclusive content" of a game that's not even out for a good few months yet. so what if the rest of the GTA community can have a few new weapons and cars a year after you've had them "exclusively"? Get a life dude, check yo self
MikeyBelic
What I said to them - So I see that there is some ingame stuff being offered with the collectors/special edition, please for the love of your reputation don't make it available later on. It's collectors for a reason, only those who truly love the game to pay £120 for it deserve that content, even with a GOTY edition don't put that stuff in, just add new stuff. I hope you consider this. Their response - Currently, the only way to guarantee access to the digital content from the Collector’s Edition or Special Edition of the game is to pre-order or purchase those specific versions. We hope you’re looking forward to getting your hands on the game on September 17th. Cheers, Rockstar Games The way they say currently scares me a bit as if they have intentions to make it available later on. What do you guys think? How did you ever learn to breathe on your own? urbanfire
R* and most other games (batman arkham city comes to mind) eventually release a GOTY edition or a complete edition with all DLCs and codes included. Eventually everyone will have access to these dlcs, but it could be literally 1-2 years down the track. When i get CE version, I'm not paying for timed exclusive DLC, I'm paying for the complete experience on Day 1.

If not a whole lot of the CE are being made, it's value stays high. You aren't paying $90 for dlc. If anything, you're paying $15 for dlc and $75 for the map, hat, and money bag. I have games to this day I haven't experienced completely because of exclusive dlc and it sucks. I'm missing out on extra cars, weapons, tracks, missions, etc... all because I didn't splurge on the special edition of the game and I think its crap. R* has always been good about making sure everyone gets the best gaming experience possible and at the least, making the dlc optional at a later date is not only good for business, its good for gaming as a whole. And status symbol? That activates my hilarity unit. I bought the Special Edition and I don't feel any sense of entitlement. If you want to show how much of a fan you are, feel free to buy the collector's edition and enjoy your special avatars and electric car in multiplayer. Everything else applies to single player. I don't see how someone buying that content outside of the special editions affects your gaming experience at all.
