Hyperthesis Posted May 29, 2013 Share Posted May 29, 2013 As an owner of both an Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, I'm torn over which system I ought to preorder the Special Edition of GTA V on. On one hand, all of the previews to date have been done on PS3s (according to various gaming websites and magazines). To me, this would indicate that GTA V was designed ground-up for the PS3, rather than being a port (as was the case with GTA IV). On the other hand, if PS3 is in fact the ported version, GTA V could very well suffer the same graphical issues/roughness that plague the PS3 version of GTA IV (more aliasing, less impressive particle effects, etc). I'll probably sell/trade my 360 pretty soon to buy a PS3, so I can finally play all those exclusives I've been missing out on. Will make the wait much easier and then I'll get that version. I don't know if you have watched any trailers, read any previews or looked at the R* website lately but they haven't said once that is is coming to PC. You do realize that that would take away the incentive for PC users to go out and possibly buy a console just to play GTA V, right? When now they possible purchase GTA V two times, for console and afterwards for PC. Which basically means Rockstar generates more revenue via this approach. Also if the rumor of it possibly lagging when there are too many cars on the screen for 360 users is true then I would sway away from that.
