shifty66
Just saw this article, apparently he said it is confirmed but i cant see his source or any proof of the fact? Any idea? anyone got any news on this? Seems like it would be a sick feature. the three main characters in the open-world action-adventure title can suffer permanent scars (such as bullet marks) from being wounded. http://www.examiner.com/article/gta-5-ps3-...etails-revealed
AKalashnikov
Maybe the word 'permanent' was the wrong choice. I think in IV the blood stains on your clothes wouldn't disappear until you'd eat, drink, sleep or use health cheats. Could call that permanent without the use of any of those really. If he's right most people will look like Freddy Krueger at the end of the game.
I<3GTAV
That's going to be a lot of scars
shifty66
Exactly thats what i was wondering, maybe some ripped clothes and blood stains would be sweet though. And im starting to think now maybe like mission specific cutscenes or whatever will cause a scar or two? Like in Batman Arkham asylum? But as scars and not permanent ripped clothes. AKalashnikov
You're probably right. A lot of games use those scripted injuries. Rockstar's own Max Payne 3 had a sequence where he's shot in the arm. Noticed the scar on Trevor's stomach in his trailer as well. Maybe that's inflicted in the game? Maybe it was already there. Maybe he slowly gets balder as the game progresses like Bruce Willis in Die hard.

Patriot_Action
This was discussed in another thread (probably several). I think most people are skeptical as to what this means, and think it's unlikely every little injury suffered during gameplay will be permanent for the duration of the game. Dope_0110
This has been discussed in a million topics already. Use the search button. Permanent scares are NOT confirmed and I'll put my life on the line and bet that they won't be in the game. Use your common sense if you have any. My bad, didnt mean to contribute another thread. Should of searched. And thats my fault, wont happen again. But come on bro, use my common sense if i have any? why such a snide f*cking remark? Im discussing a video game on a video game forum. Im asking for input. f*ck even in one of the posts i said And im starting to think now maybe like mission specific cutscenes or whatever will cause a scar or two? Like in Batman Arkham asylum? But as scars and not permanent ripped clothes. So obviously im trying to think rationally, im not like "OMG GUYS SCARS GONNA BE COOL IM GNA MAKE IT SO TREVOR HAS ONE EYE LOLOLOLOL WUT U THINK!?!?!" Seriously, i dont know why your little pissy comment at the end of your post pissed me off so much man. Stop being such a little bitch and brighten up. Are you a moderator here? Does another thread ruin your f*cking day? Your comment would of been fine without that little passive aggressive remark at the end there ey. AKalashnikov
Was a good thread mate. Talking and speculating is the whole idea of this section considering the game isn't even out. Trade-off is the typical internet abuse, haha.
chop chop
that's what happened in max payne 3. I like how when he shaves his head, the further you progressed the more you can see his hair growing in. Wounds all remained and eventually scarred up

Strange, a thread on this forum where i actually got some decent input for the question i asked! Figures its from an aussie, love this country. Oh sorry I guess along with scars they'll be putting people back together.. Oh wait you don't explode into a thousand pieces, but if you get shot you get a super realistic bullet hole. Oh and let me guess over time it slowly heals as well, decreasing in transparency.

MrSpooge
It's ok guys, of course it's real! All we have to do everytime we get into a accident, or shoot out.. Is visit the local hospital to get patched up, this should only happened about 1000 times so no sweat! Wait no! Going with realism and scars, there will be no Hospital Visits, as you see along with your Special Abilities you also have Super Human Healing powers to make quick work of Scars! Wait no! You get that awesome as Gel from The Hunger Games that does the Job over night!. This thread is stupid, the idea is stupid.. Your damn stupid if you believe this, if you do you may as well believe half the sh*t I just wrote.

Shenmue18
I'm not sure if that'll be true, I mean do you realize how many times you get shot in GTA? You'd be covered in scars from head to toe, maybe storyline scars or ripped clothes or light scars until you heal up, but through out the whole game? I doubt it.
