gsbadreligion Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 Rockstar is a BUSINESS, the fact is rockstar has been working on this game for probably around 5 years in game development, they are giving us the things to do in san andreas in hd plus a hell of a lot more including multiple protagonists, heists, customization, and what i expect to be an amazing multiplayer experience. the fact is you do not have to buy the collectors or special edition, a base 2013 challenger is about 25k, a srt8(the fastest model) is about 43k i don't see anyone bitching to dodge about this. Rockstar must have spend a f*ck ton on this game and i am pretty sure i read somewhere the episodes from liberty city didn't do too great so they have to make up for that too. you are all acting like children, this is the real world people, i know some of the people on this forum are barely double digits and they expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter but that's not how the real world works. Nobodies putting a gun to your head and telling you to buy them if you want them buy them, and fyi the special edition is giving you most of the content at a decent price, collectors is obviously for the hardcore fan that wants to help rockstar out and cares enough to buy it. you're all acting like you have a friend that is a mechanic and you're pissed that he won't give you a great deal and make you pay what everybody else does. call of duty probably doesn't have 1/10 of the content and honestly the base game is probably worth at least $150 when you think about how much you play it, how much fun it is, all there is to do, etc. I'm getting the collectors edition because this game is worth it and i really want that hot rod. Whose to say that the DLC included will ever be released? It's being called Exclusive isn't it? Just because something is offered as DLC, doesn't mean it will eventually be available for everyone. There is a reason the CE is $150, for this special content that won't be anywhere else, and if Rockstar charges that much and then sells the DLC for $5, that for one won't happen, and would be incredibly low of Rockstar, and I know they are above that. Your almost complaining about the fact that the extras you get are/will be able for everyone? But that is a good thing. Imagine if it WAS only and forever only for people that shelled out the cash. Bottom line is like gsbadreligion was saying, you dont have to pay for it, you wont be missing out on anything to severe. And if you do, you will be helping Rockstar (who we can all agree is one of the best publishers out there these days) a great deal. I for one am looking forward to extra tattoos and clothes for customization at the start. Not to mention the steel cover and the blueprint map will be exciting. But in the end im happy to pay a few bucks more to support a company i really appreciate. They provide me with a service and give me a choice of how much i want to pay for said service. sh*t man i tell ya, spending $120 on gtaV beats the $150 i spend taking the misses out shopping! hahahaha. They provide me with a service and give me a choice of how much i want to pay for said service. sh*t man i tell ya, spending $120 on gtaV beats the $150 i spend taking the misses out shopping! hahahaha. thank you, you get what what i'm saying. put it this way rockstar made the collector edition exclusives(i doubt the in game content for these will be available) were made to be small things that don't make a great deal of difference. they could of made the collectors edition a huge jump in content and made those that are getting the standard and special editions feel really left out(like make car customization or racing exclusive to that version). ultimately rockstar gave the special edition more than enough content and that's obviously meant to be the main sale for those that are big fans of the game, the hardcore fans however can help out rockstar and get some exclusives like the hotrod, the carbon rs bike and the hat and multiplayer characters as well as the security deposit bag. Rockstar is a company that's main goal is profits(they need to make money to make a better game next time), unlike alot of games they treat gta as art, fine art is expensive and rockstar is selling gta dirt cheap for what we're going to be getting. there are a lot of people that feel entitled to get extra because it's rockstar, they are a business and people all too often seem to discredit the fact that they need profits and they deserve every cent they get anyways. am i a rockstar nuthugger, probably but its because of the amazing product they produce and this is easily the best yet game yet. yes rockstar is a business and that is common sense if people didn't feel so damn entitled i wouldn't of mentioned it in the first place, not everyone is mature enough to understand how the world works. I totally get what you are saying man. However, what exactly is a hardcore fan? Whether its 60 bucks, 80 bucks, or 150 bucks, we are all paying for the game in some way. I am buying the complete edition. If I were buying the Standard version, would I NOT qualify as a hardcore fan? I think that term is not used properly at times.
