epicluca Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 I can understand some people prefer the wackier gameplay style of SR3 compared to the serious style of GTA IV but rest assured V has way whackier cars, peds and even protagonists (Trevor) so yeah I'm pretty sure we'll see some crazy missions and cheats too. Sr4 coming is out on August 30th and GTA is coming out the 17th of September so watch how volition get their ass kicked. Saints Row has never been close to Gta in no shape or form. It's a joke and meant to be that way. Saints Row v copies other open world games like crack down and prototype. Honestly saints row I had fun with in the past but neither the fan base or the hype is as big as Gta. So to answer your question it will obliterate saints row. BFR579 Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 SR3 is fun, I play it in coop once in a while, the customization options and the crazy vehicles / weapons add to the fun, but it gets old very quickly and any gta game is much better in my opinion. Also the DLC's are some of the most awful I've ever seen in a game, and the characters are so flat and boring that you don't care what happens to them. In the gta series it's the exact opposite. The devs themselves mentioned how they were aiming for something different with the more juvenile tone. Volition can't possibly compete with the millions spent on GTA. IV pretty much annihilated any possible competition. It's the smart thing to do if you want to grab a small part of the market and survive. There are tons of areas where SR is no match to GTA: be it the story, graphics, physics, overall detail, world size. There isn't even a dynamic day-night cycle.
