BattleExel
Something that has pestered me with IV and RDR was the lack of skill involved with online matches. I pray R* finally changes this up so the default is free aim then they can have a rookie 'casual' section that uses auto-target. I think it's a waste having a casual room, another auto aim room and then a hardcore room. I feel the online was very messy which led to it being hard to find games at times. I can almost never play any hardcore matches for the simple reason there's noone in them let alone ever played a veteran match. I know R* tries to make their game accessible to the many consumers, but don't cut it back so it takes out the need of skill to play.. Dead eye was a bust and with auto aim you can make kills across the map without even seeing them. The suspense and intensity of hardcore aiming sets the game excitement so much higher. When you come face to face with an enemy it's no longer a battle of 'who can roll and hit left trigger- right trigger the fastest' but actually requires skill of aiming to take your enemy out before they take out you. All I'm asking is R* to simply have free aim as default and simply one other room for casual aimers. Make it so online play requires skill! I can't stand going into a match where the instant I spawn I get destroyed by 3 dudes with dead eye, it takes all the skill and fun out of this game. If people want to play with auto aim then have a noob room for them to do so in but leave us true gamers be! What do you guys think? So you want there to be a option within multiplayer to disable Auto Aim?.. Wasn't this featured in RDR?
DeafMetal
What version of the game do you play? Because RDR, GTA IV for me on the ps3 have been the exact opposite: auto/soft lock takes more skill than does free aim. 90% of the free aim matches I've been in are people running side to side like retards trying to hit each other, whereas the ones with soft lock/auto aim are usually more strategic, with people who know how to use the environment usually whipping everyone else.
