Getzmunney
Earlier someone said something about Franklin and the gang being in between ballas turf and Vagos turf and that makes perfect sense. I think Franklin lives in the Compton/Ganton area of the game which is Mexican, Crip, and Blood I have a feeling he lives in or around the gta equivalent of baldwin hills, hence the killer hills reference in the trailer. Probably the jungles. I find that odd because in the trailer I see the Compton court buildings in the background. because thats how small they made sh*t.. all compacted..watch the trailer again.. jumgles right up the street from the compton courthouse
Revolution-XW
In a preview they claim the gangs can help you escape the police. That's a good feature. They help you take them down. Tells you how deep the hood is going to be.
GlitzyTomb
I don't want a full on San Andreas 2... But I sure as hell hope there is more to the ghetto that that... And I hope there is more to the Balla/Grove beef than just the ghetto. Maybe some Ballas growing Weed out there in the forests somewhere.
Hiphiphorhay
it would be hilarious if the picture quality went to sh*t the closer you get to the hoods.

Tells you how deep the hood is going to be. I'm not so sure I feel great about the gangs blasting at police every time they go through the hood. I don't really like the sound of that, it sounds just a bit too unrealistic. I know it happens in real life, but not like that and it rarely happens, even in the worst LA ghettos. But if that is gonna happen, Rockstar better make sure there random crimes happening in these hoods, I wanna shoot outs between rival gangs, fights, beatdowns and robberies in those streets. @ Boss7dm Nobody forced you to be here. GlitzyTomb
This thread is on page one and active, the other thread is not. This thread isn't getting closed. I hope they at least limit the "Shoot on Sight" Ballas to a very small area. Kind of a hood inside of a hood. The equivalent of Grove Street to Grove Street Families. GlitzyTomb
I don't know how you can possibly say the hood doesn't have potential. It's a playground just full of fun. Granted it's more action focused than other areas, but there is most definitely a time and a place for that.

Mokrie Dela
what a useless topic inbefore the lock yet your post is even more pointless. contribute or gtfo OT: I've been playing SA lately and have got that gang feeling from the return to LS. I wonder how the game mechanic will be with the hoods, and "rolling on busters" etc. Gang wars etc - will they return, and in what form. they can't be like SA, running in the street fighting a full of WAR, but more likely, as they were in Saints Row 1/2 with the strongholds - hit one of them places, take the guys out off the street, away from cops and public eyes.... I did get this huge feeling from SA in the early parts of the game. This gang feeling. when i first played it, i did the same few things, and playing it now, i get the feeling of them again: dressing in grove colours, walking the streets, taking down the drug dealers, then going to the bar, a game of pool, then just chilling in the hood with my homies. Sure, that got old boring and pointless, but i still get the FEELING of that when i play it, almost like an emotive memory. I hope V can match that, make me FEEL like i'm in "the hood", give me that element of danger when i ventured into balla turf, or even when I drive out to the country, the reminder that the gang and turf is still there. The only true wisdom is in knowing you know nothing. Click here to view my Poetry
The Jard Man
Would also like to see: dice games, gangs with someone showing off with a lowrider, random drive bys, rival getting beat in an alley, gangs coming out of liquor stores, drug dealing, gun sales, police harassing them like cuffing them and putting them against wall,, mexicans tattood up to the max! nobody wearing the same clothes, crime scenes, robberies FOR ME. THESE WOULD MAKE GTA 5 EVEN BETTER and lunatic that would just be This

Kahdir
Can't wait to roll through the hood, stoppin' traffic as I do burn outs in the middle of the street like some do in youtube videos I wanna out run the po po on a rice rocket, cuttin' down alleys that cop cars can't fit... jack a public trans bus and run it into liquor store or gas station and blow everything up Lookin' forward to doin' drive bys and see how fast, or slow, it takes cops to show up different topic... Lunatic100
That started over a kid didn't it? I could swear there was a little girl sleeping in her bed (or at least in her room) that got hit in a drive by and that was where it started. No this is a lil touchy because i was born and raised in one of these hoods.. but it started over a simple fist fight between one dude from each set that led to one of the two getting shot and killed by a new member that tjought the fight was more than it was.. before that both sets got along and were close.. This happened in the 70s Yea, i remember Monster Kody from 83rd was talkin about that sh*t

Lunatic100
I hope we see more pedestrians with Dreadlocks, in Franklins trailer when the guys were getting frisked by the cops i saw one that had medium sized locks. Considering alot of black people in modern times have dreads including me i would feel alot more intuned to the game. But from what i noticed it`s alot of baldhead thugs which is weird?
