_L1pE_ Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 Maybe we will have something like a refined version of GTA 2's respect system, I had hoped for a system like this for the game but now that one of the protagonists is gang affiliated it complicates that idea a bit, would work better for the other two protags, while Franklin would only have a real respect meter for his own gang and the meter for rival gangs would max out at neutral, making it more of a hate meter, I dunno, it doesn't make that much sense but it's just a game. There is. In the first preview, they said you can give anyone from "soccer moms to biker gangs" the middle finger. He was talking about game mechanics and character communication. The comments on having references to Grove Street in early 90's is a valid discussion and would tie into the game nicely if they do it right. No-one said anything about bringing previous-generation characters into the game. Referencing is fine. Are you serious? I don't think I even mentioned Franklin or his colour at all. You're all being ignorant, it's being said millions of times that Franklin DOESN'T want a life of being a gang banger, HOW can you feel satisfied seeing a cut scene where you just finished a mission with Omar and seeing him and Franklin having a fight over the fact Franklin DOESN'T want this life, yet after this go into "Balla Territory" and gun down 10 members of the opposite gang? Just like how in GTA IV, Niko decides he wants to leave his old life as a cold-blooded murderer, yet he does the exact opposite in the game? Lol. I've been reading through this topic and I've gotta say you have added nothing worthwhile to the topic, while other (some) people are actually making valid points and arguments.
