I can see Trevor and/or Franklin doing this, but not Michael. He's too upper crust for that.

I feel like Trevor being a drug-runner/manufacturer, and Franklin having friends who are drug-dealers, makes it perfect for both of them to go into business together. You could have a series of storyline missions revolving around the two getting into business together, making the right connections and rubbing out potential competition. It would create multiple side-missions as well:

Trevor:

1. Manufacture the drugs; like the Biology lessons in Bully, you have a time-limit in which to mix your recipe and create your product. The more expensive the drug, the harder the side-mission (making Crank would be easier than making high quality Meth).

2. Smuggle the drugs; similar to Little Jacob's side-missions in IV, you take a package from point-A to point-B and have to contend with cops and opposing gangs along the way.

Franklin:

1. Distribute; meet with the head honcho's of various other gangs and deal your product away in bulk, resulting in a faster gain of money, though not as much if you had done:

2. Deal; like Chinatown Wars, you can offload smaller amounts of product for more overall money, but it takes much more time.

If the inventory from RDR is included, it would be easy enough to be able to carry drugs on your person, and you'd stand to lose a lot if you fail one of the side-missions. If you die or get busted while holding drugs, you'd lose them all.

I really want this kind of detail, though I'm not sure it will/can happen.

Edit: For clarification

You sure? Michael is an upper class man, he looks like the kind of guy who would deal with some devil's dandruff. All rich men do.

Its confirmed that Trevor is a drug dealer so maybe he could hit a couple licks and front Franklin some dope to supply the hood and make alot of money from the turf and enemies turf?

That would only fit with Franklin and Trevor. Although if Trevor were a dealer, he would probably smoke the sh*t before he got it to the buyer, then when he meets up with the guy, he would most likely bash his brains in with a bat.

So jus cause Michael wears cheap suits and has a nice house he wouldn't distribute ? come on now the guy is a sociopath and is not too neat to get his hands dirty already he'll be dealing too .

Haha thanks man! You're the first person to know what that was!

@Grove Street Heat

I honestly just don't see it. I know he's a psycho with a sh*tty temper, but I don't see him selling drugs or anything. But then again, I wouldn't expect that he robbed banks if I didn't know, also.

Racecarlock

As long as it's more car chases and less looking at numbers and deciding on quantities to sell. This is GTA we're talking about.

China town wars had a pretty good drug system. Id be a little disappointed if V didn't have it. But its no deal breaker

I see people saying Chinatown Wars had a good dealing system. While I haven't played it, I did like the way Scarface game handled drug dealing trough the game where you start as small time dealer selling on the streets and all, and as you grow, you later only need to transfer the drugs from manufacturing area into the warehouse in the city while you evade police and all that of course. Then it'd distributed to local dealerships automatically and all you need to do is collect the money which goes into tens of thousands by then. Though you could still sell small amounts in the streets if you wanted to.

It was good system and gave a sense of true progression while still giving you something to do.

Trevor can produce and sell drugs, he also sells weapons: "The guns and crank in this area go through Trevor Phillips Enterprises, or they ain't going!"

I really hope there is some form of drug dealing. The whole meth thing makes me quite excited after watching Breaking Bad.
