GTA Master Blaster
Hi Guys, Looking to pre-order the GTA V strategy guide from a UK retailer. Does anyone know if it's available to pre-order over here yet? & if so where. Cheers

SuperDuperGta
Does this not take away form the game? You don't have to explore, You don't have to think for yourself, You won't have any surprises. I only like them when they have listings of vehicles or weapons

I only like them when they have listings of vehicles or weapons I personally don't use them until after I've completed the game. And until after I've explored the entire map. I use them to find hidden stuff if I can't find it.. And to learn about secrets etc. Sometimes during a mission I'm not sure what I should do (like the mission in IV where you have to kill either Playboy X or Dwayne), then I'll read the guide to see what's the best outcome (killing Playboy X ). They are all-in-one guides, full of hints and tips, info on any and all stuff in GTA including weapons, food, missions and side-missions, odd jobs, girlfriends, shopping, hidden stuff, with maps showing you the location of everything etc etc etc. PLUS, usually you get a new fold out map too... I use the web for walkthroughs or background info on ways to beat tough missions, rather than the book. However, as other people have said, I like having the book to take along and look at sometimes when I am not able to play the game, just to get to the happy place of remembering playing GTA. wwinterj
It's not avaible yet but once it is I think GAME will be the best place for you as they stock everything GTA.

I still feel that despite that stuff. By the time I finally give up exploring, missions etc on GTA5. Someone will have made a walkthrough online should I need it. Which would only be if I couldn't find a side mission or left over 'Pidgeons'. Maybe the biggest thing for me is that I don't want to ruin anything for myself, which is also why I don't want SE (25% regen and free guns make it easier) I will also vanish from the forums for this same amount of time. d3ex2
I'll also be buying the guide. I won't use it much though. I'm going to try get as close to 100% as possible without any help and it might come in handy when I start struggling. I know I could just check the Internet but there's just something about checking the index and flicking through the pages. Maybe it's just nostalgia of my gaming days before the Internet. I had a load of guide books.
NutsAndy
I last bought a guide with GTA SA and loved it, but didn't bother for IV. I have to say i will be pre-ordering one for GTA V. As someone said above, there's just something about flicking through those pages and having all the information in one place that is really really nice. Plus you know all the information in it will have been spell checked, grammar checked then passed to someone to make sure it is easy to understand exactly what is meant so isnt as crap as most online ones. I like a nice list of every car and weapon in the game and i can imagine that all mods for those will be listed too for GTA V which should help me keep an eye on what is available. reform
Don't expect to be able to order/pre-order the guide until about August. Once it's announced, I'd say GAME will sell it for sure.
spiritman23
On the Gamestop website, you can buy the guide for 25 bucks. However, you won't be able to get it until Sept 17. GTA 5 Guide
gonnaenodaethat
I bought all the Brady guides for previous GTAs -mind you they were all second hand as were the games. GTA V is the first game I've ever pre-ordered so to offset the cost I will be buying 6 copies of the guide to flog on Ebay (a work colleague told me that when another AAA game Skyrim was released they initially ran out of guides and they were going for extortionate prices on the 'bay) to recoup my outlay & also to buy loads of beer & cookies when I lock myself in my mancave for a fortnight on release. Hurrah for capitalism! Nikhilmao, evelpod666, Archangel0934 and 1 other
