For the people who have seen this amazing movie, do you think we might get to do some of the crazy stunts vin diesel and his crew were pulling off?

Call the Thread Police if there is something on this already, idgaf

Opinions Appreciated

Amazing movie? It was utter garbage! The stunts were about as realistic as a Looney Tunes cartoon.

That movie was awesome. That stunt with the tank alone was worth the price of admission

I have to agree with DoomsdayFAN.. The whole series has been turned into some real ridiculous stuff. I mean, it used to be about street racing and an undercover cop, now there in Europe and blowing up planes and robbing banks.. I think GTA will remain with the same formula on the driving, I don't think we'll be diving out of our cars onto other cars to steal them.

The movie series is evolving, and its getting better with every movie. And THAT ENDING was amazing, I think just one of these stunts in GTA V would be one of the highlights of the game

I agree that its evolving to something more interesting that appeals more to a wider audience than just racing. And it's a cool movie and all. But in my opinion, I liked the emphasis on racing more than the more wild scenarios. I feel like it just wouldn't make much sense to have stunts like the movie, in the game. That seems like a more Saints Row type thing, or even Just Cause since that game already has that and then some.

Ok but franklin's special skill is driving, so there are gonna be set pieces where hes beasting in a car, and these stunts would look perfect in tha game. And this movie series wasnt just about street racing, it was also about stealing and pulling off big scores

You may have something with the set pieces, but it would be more of just a scripted "cut scene"-esque maneuver where we could only do it in that mission. And I agree, the series did have the big payout scenario, but they "extreme" aspect was kept to a minimum while now every other scene is just to extreme and it loses it's charm.

Yeah...I don't think we'll be seeing anything that insane in GTA V.

Will there be some intense driving moments? Yeah. But anything breaking the bounds of Reality? I don't think so. Hell you could make your own intense driving moments as well, hell I did some pretty sick stuff in IV, nothing to the level of geting hit by a tank and jumping to my friend's car...but still pretty cool stunts. I'm sure V will be a stunt driver/wheelman paradise with all of the countryside.

EDIT: @theworldfamous That's what I'm talking about doing right there, great movie Bullit. Great driving and IMO the best chase of all time.

Not every scene was extreme, some had jokes with tyrese and ludacris, and some had plot moments

Which is something everybody just echoes along with teh interwebs and couple of critics, without actually forming their own opinion on what eventually is a matter of taste.. I was just pointing out French cinema has a great tradition with car chases as well. Theirs is less about cool cars and more about wrecking as many of them as they can. I like that.

Exactly, I respect bullitt for that chase scene and it is one of the best ever made, but everyone has different opinions on it.

I loved the Bullit chase, I still dream about that '68 Charger flying through the streets of San Fran. Back to the topic at hand, I just feel like the F&F movie's driving stunts and such wont fit in a GTA game. Their just too fantasy to be realistic at GTA's level, I mean jumping from a car onto another moving car while the current car is getting crushed by a tank? That's pure fantasy and while GTA is fantasy in it's own aspect (criminal lifestyle, blowing things up, shooting up streets etc.) its not on that overly ambitious level of it like F&F is.

Yea because in GTA IV you never flew off a 50 foot ramp right?

Just to play Devil's Advocate, do you remember the mission 'Freefall' in San Andreas? Or how on the final mission in GTA IV Niko jumped off a Sanchez in mid air to grab on to the side of a moving helicopter?

Sure GTA doesn't have these super OTT moments in every other mission, but they are there.

Oh don't get me wrong, I know GTA has it's moments. Every game and movie has its moments. However GTA it was tastefully done to where we had only so many missions where this kind of stuff occurred. The movie in my opinion has little sense of balance, where almost every action scene is just way too overdone, and the you lose interest going from huge scene to the next huge scene without getting a sort of "recharge" time so to speak. I don't know, I'm just throwing my view of it into the thread.

Christ man, I ain't gonna drag this on anymore. The OP was, what we thought. I thought no, we won't see these in the game so that being said we know where I stand in accordance with the speculation.
