Well I won't call out of work because I like money. But I'll make sure I have plenty of daddy daughter time before September 17 and my girls birthday is September 13th so all things should be good when I get out of work on the 17th i'll game until I have to go to sleep. Then its a GTA weekend for me.

My cousin works for a company in nz that sells games over the net, im hoping he game sneak my pre order out before the 17th. Def taking a couple days off for it tho.

Don't worry! I have .. patients. I waited for GTAIV, so I can wait for V as well

 

Oh btw, OT: once it FINALLY arrives for pc... Actually, I can't think that far into the future... Almost a year... Unless, it arrives this December , when I'm on holiday, then I can play non-stop until mid January, 24/7!!!

My day will be free. Post arrives at 10:30/11:30AM. So I'll get a good 12/13 hours of playing it. I want to do a 24hr marathon so i might just pick it up at a store at midnight or try get it on the 16th. If i can free up wednesday too then f*ck it i'll be doing a 24 hr marathon. if all fails then i can wait until the weekend arrives.

My night/day is planned.

 

10:00pm - 16th of September: Head to my local EBGames for the midnight launch

12:01am - 17th of September: Receive my copy of Grand Theft Auto V

12:20am - 17th of September: Walk out of the store, get in my car and drive home

12:40am - 17th of September: Get home and go to bed, save my energy (time goes speedy quick when you sleep anyway)

7:00am - 17th of September: Wake up, unwrap the game or unbox if I get collectors edition

7:01am - 17th of September: Put the disc in my PS3 and watch the game load up until it does the update thing

7:03am - 17th of September: Come on the forums whilst its downloading the data and check what other people are saying

7:10am/whenever - 17th of September: Play the motherf*ckinggame that I have been waiting for... for 2 long damn years!

@Bert - It's not so much skipping important things for GTA V.. But let's say it's an uneventful day/week at work (which we have many of) isn't it fun to just take one day of playing hooky? I mean we all did that a little back in school and 1 day didn't mess us up. Sure I would have never done that with a test back then or big deadline nowadays, but if it's a relatively slow week, hell, I'm enjoying it

 

@nickmaj - Good stuff man haha..Gota somewhat the same plan here except no sleeping when I first get it. Love playing it when it's darker outside so no glare, etc ruining the experience (without having to draw the blinds like a hermit)

I have two days scheduled off from work (paid vacation). My boss and everyone I work with know exactly why I won't be in and, in fact, I might not be the only one taking a few days off. My wife already knows that I'll be playing for a couple days straight and I'm sure I'll come upstairs from my office/gaming area from time to time to see the kids. My local GameStop will likely be doing a midnight release so I'll pick it up and spend a good portion of the next 48 hours playing.

 

Also, once the game releases, I'll be avoiding this place like the plague. I don't want y'all messing up the experience.

I usually have Tuesday's off of work anyways, but if I am working that day, I'll just wait until I get home. It won't bother me. I just hope I don't open the next morning so I can stay up all night playing

So 17th is Tuesday, that will be normal work day. Probably will get the game following Friday or Saturday and enjoy it on the weekend.

I got the week off work for it, so life will mostly be consumed by GTA V and GTAF. I'm looking forward to the hype around Sunday/Monday before it releases. Explosions will occur as every country turns to midnight.
