johnny_zoo
One thing in IV that was not good was the lack of interesting interiors. The apartments in IV only had a staircase that led to roof. There was loads of rooms and not one person was in them. That is not realistic which is what Rockstar going for. What did Rockstar think that we might need to go up to re-tile? The Goldberg building was disappointing. The hospital was empty, no patients! What the hell? There were no shops to go into that ha any real interest. There are so many other interiors that thy should har included that would increase the fun by a factor of ten. Here are what I am expecting in V: -malls where ped's shop and walk around -police stations with cops in them -fire stations where you can slide down the pole -office blocks with offices to walk around in that have people working there Can you imagine starting a shootout and having paper flying ped's fallin from windows? I'm drooling right now. -prisons where it's packed full of prisoners in underground blocks This is severly lacking. The interiors need to be as rewarding and interesting to explore as the world outside. This is one place that Rockstar are neglecting massively. I am expecting those things in GTAV. Paper Mario
I agree! But it is really hard. I also liked the office building in Vice city. Had lots of fun in there hehehe.. Plus the mall.

Guest
It'd be nice to see a "car show" type warehouse, filled with customised vehicles and people, with Pendulum blasting. And then if I dropped a grenade, you hear like 50 screams and everyone running around.
GTA 360
There was certainly a lack of this in IV. I'd like to be able to set fire to buildings in V, imagine setting fire to a sky scraper and people running out of the doors only to find you there with a machine gun. walkingsickness
I'm not the guy to start talking about "what I'm disappointed in, in a GTA game" but I will agree with this one. There were buildings that you can go into (like the ones in uptown Algonquin and Bohan) and you couldn't enter any of the rooms, just the rooftop and your room if you was in Bohan. You would even hear music sometimes that would come from a room, but you couldn't go in it. But maybe its a space on disk issue IDK.....I would like to see more enterable interiors for V. Makes the game a bit more realistic and more enjoyable.
wwinterj
I Agree with all of the above. With a smaller city maybe this will be more possible.

GANGSTA26-VERCETTI
They would rather sell you such an idea on a later update of the series. This is most likely going to be the last Grand Theft Auto game for this generation of gaming hardware - maybe now we will get such a feature of interiors with more options of interaction. Just as we will finally get a wider set of vehicles and weaponry,we will get a game like the san andreas, which used up as much of the capabilities as they were available. I am confident that this will be an exclusively in-depth game, for all to enjoy.
Backfire6
Ya I always felt I was the only one in the entire city. It almost felt like a Omega Man Moment for me in 4. I was like "then why did they even allow me inside this building if there is nothing inside?????"

Polish_Trucker
why do i have a feeling there will still be a lot of cardboard interiors Fun fact: The old consoles can't handle it so there is the crappy 2d textures. Anyway at least they could do a 3d window display in all shops & then have that dodgy 2d hink in the background..
LittleBlueTroll
IV lacked in atmosphere on interior and exterior, so whatever V throws at us will be an improvement. One of the things i hated most about IV was when you wasn't on a mission the world was so boring. Take star junction for example, it looked great from a distance, the kind of place that you'd hope would be bustling with people, clubs, shoppers and the likes. But instead, it was like a morgue. Hardly anyone was there of interest and it was insanely boring to walk down. In V i really hope for more atmosphere inside and outside. I would like to see shopping areas and others places being busy, like in real life.
Oldsmobile
I'll be happy as long as every fast food restaurant doesn't use the exact same interior every time.

Capricornus
I agree. Interiors only serving as eye candy gets old and boring after a while. I see that R* are going all out with GTA V in a lot of aspects, so they can add to that by not only having interactive interiors, but bringing them to life as well. johnny_zoo
This is what we should have. People going about their tasks like real life. However the problem is its only one room on ONE floor. This needs to be replicated across this building and across the entire city. This is prolly only for the mission and on e the done thy prolly lock the room after ala Goldberg building. That's the problem Rockstar don't give enough time and energy to the inside of buildings. Rockstar have got the right idea here it needs more implementation. Edited May 27, 2013 by johnny_zoo
AZAZEL
This needs to be replicated across this building and across the entire city. Rockstar have got the right idea here it needs more implementation. Obviously there's an array of hardware limitations that makes this impossible, but why would you even want a 20-30 story building fully furnished and sprawling, if it served no purpose? Roleplay and sniping. @Azazel This. I admit they don't have to do the entire building. But 60% is acceptable. Having gunfights high into the air 100 storeys up over Los Santos and shooting people out the windows having them hit the ground below would NEVER get old. Waiting for the police to come up the buildings would provide excellent aniticipation as you make your stand and prepare for battle! This idea is long overdue. I remember back with IV the idea of "verticality" was thrown around during the previews a lot. For exapmple they talked about climbing poles to get a view of the city. They haven't really followed through with this idea. This is the way to go about increasing that however. Making skyscrapers enterable and interactive. The draw distance is better this time. Look at this screen. You can see cars for miles below. That means we can see peds hit the ground or explode atop cars driving.

The Ripper 666
as long as I have a good place to hide from cops/multiplayer douchebags it won't really bother me all that much but it would be nice to have unique interiors

Yes I fully agree, They were indeed dead boring. I personally hardly ever entered a building in IV unless a mission required me to. Hopefully R* have addressed this. I would like to see fully kitted out and working, Shops & other retail outlets where you could actually shop, rob them or just create general mayhem. Petrol stations where you can fill up. Offices Police station fire department hospitals fully working and brimming with life military bases, construction sites and farms houses, flats & apartments etc, etc as long as rockstar have addressed the majority of enter-able buildings bleakness and lack of life i'll be happy
