So I heard you like redeem codes!

 

So we gave you a redeem code to redeem the redeem code so you can the redeem the redeem!

it's a bit stupid. why couldn't they just give us a single code to put in PSN/Xbox to download the client instead of giving us a code to put into a site that will give us a code to put into another site.

Yeah it's a bit silly in this day and age. I pre ordered the ps4 version from the amazon uk marketplace so it's pretty obvious I wouldn't want an xboxone code in the Americas region.

and they make select either a 360 or One then also PS4 or PS3. Could at least just ask what store you want the code for. What does it matter if it's a ps3 or ps4? they are just making it more complicated that it needs to be.

I agree they way they have done it is a bit weird but it's not complicated. If you cant understand what system and area you're from then perhaps you should stop playing games and pick up a atlas and learn something.

A leaked map of Venus has become known to the public today. Wheter we can visit Venus in the beta or not is unsure at the point but atleast we can see the Venus map for future reference.

Not sure what that is exactly? Just a certain coloured (sponsored) weapons?

The red sparrow is your in game mount. It has been upgraded with higher top speed and increased armor. Vanguard pack seems to be a base set of weapons witch I imagine will only be slightly better than standard weapons to begin with.

Nobody knows what they do at the moment they could be ingame content or avatars or wallpapers etc. Only thing we know is that closer to release date we will be told what they do. If you do redeem them you do it over at Bungie.net like you did with the beta code.

The Vanguard armory can also be accessed from in-game. It's just you get instant access, nothing special

Question. Will your stats what you build up during the beta reset when you buy the full game in sept?

We may recieve some special ingame item foe beta testing. But in my experience most company's will do a hard reset of all stats and levels.

We do recieve a special item for being in the beta if we play the beta on the final day, 26th July. This has been confirmed by Bungie.

I've never known a beta to carry starts over into the full version of the game but I may be wrong.

Anyway, ok so IGN put up two new videos talking a bit about the beta etc. Also they will be live streaming the beta later on today around 7pm GMT (I'll let you none GMT'ers figure out the time differences for yourselves)

Me too. As soon as the alpha finished all I have been doing is watching videos of Destiny. Time to get back playing it.

 

Yeah I watched about half an hour and realised this is a game to be played not watched.

 

I think the same could be said for everygame but if people have never played Destiny and like it solely on videos from Youtube then when they play it for the first time I'm sure that 'like' will become 'love'.

It looks like they will be sending out the codes close to the beta start, what if you ask me is a major f*ck up since everyone will be downloading at the same time. They should atleast let you download the thing even if you can only play later today.
