So I preordered and have been f*cking around trying to get my account to recognize me on the bungie website.

 

Then I find out that the Beta for the Xbox One is only FOUR f*ckING DAYS? What the honest f*ck, even a week is way too f*cking short.

 

Not only that but the worst part is out of the entire motherf*cking year, those EXACT four days are the only days in the year I am out of the country and against my will as well.

 

WHAT A LOAD OF GOD DAMN HORSE sh*t.

 

Why the f*ck are they offering this sh*t as a preorder incentive? f*ck them, I am going to cancel just so they don't have my sale on their books. f*ck them and their bullsh*t.

 

I can't stand exclusives of any form, preorder bonuses and any of that sh*t.

 

We need some f*cking equal sh*t because it is not like I am going to go out and buy a brand new console just to get something earlier, so why the f*ck do they do it other than for money and to piss people off. It benefits us in NO way whatsoever.

Today we got Rusted Lands. For those of us that played the alpha we know all about it so nothing really new for us in that sense. However could be useful for the Xbox users among us who couldn't play the alpha or didn't see any streams of the alpha.

Today's map from IGN was the Mars PvP map that we will get to play in the beta for the first time.

I picked up on a few things that was said/saw that intrigued me:

• Firstly, if you are within 20 meters of a teammate picking up heavy ammo, you to will also be granted the heavy ammo. This is a great idea as you dont get penalised if a teammate happens to be a little closer to the ammo than yourself, so you dont miss out. (I'm guessing the same might apply to special ammo crates)
• Secondly, at 3:47 of the gameplay video you see him pick up heavy ammo and then when he dies use lose that heavy ammo. I've never noticed this before and was wondering if this happens all the time with heavy ammo?
• Thirdly, why do IGN pick the worst player possible for us to watch?

The console selection is open but it's a bit messed up at the moment.

 

If you select PS4 Europe it doesn't work, also there is no option for people living outside of Europe or USA.

Well like I said previously with the games before Halo there would of been no Halo, so I dont agree with the notion of Halo fans made Bungie.

 

Secondly, I agree that it is unfair how little and the timed exclusives that the Xbox side has been given but like you said Activison would of been the ones making the deal with Sony rather than Bungie. This is the way gaming has been going for a while now so I wouldn't be surprised if games further down the road are even worse.

ps4/eu by the way. i know it's an issue and bungie are looking into it. just hope they hurry up cause it aint gonna be fun trying to get everything going on the 17th.

 

still not 100% decided on if i'll even by the game. The BETA will decide for me. even if i don't like it i might still wait until after release so i can get reviews on the final product

Like you said Bungie are atleast aware of the problem. Plus even if you can register your system you still only get the actual beta code on the 17th so it's not a huge deal at the moment.

The beta is 8 days on PS3/PS4. Activision is trying to get Sony to their side. Just think about it. CoD = XBOX - Destiny = Sony

Let's go back to E3. Sony's media briefing started with Destiny . Microsoft's media briefing started with CoD. Both games get early access to content on a selected platform. Destiny gets exclusive content for a year on PS3/PS4 even for the expansions that will be released after launch, CoD gets maps 1 month earlier (Correct me if I'm wrong, I am not interested in CoD so i don't keep up with it's news). All of this is just marketing

There's no way that even bungie can go over every bug found, code fixes, test fixes, redo fixes if more stuff breaks, freeze game code, go gold and print disks in the space of just under a month after the beta finishes. They will have maybe 2-3weeks before code freeze to work on patches there's no way in hell that they will get everything fixed prior to launch at least without a delay on the table.

 

I wish I could say everything will go smoothly but even bungie can't promise that. I'm pretty confident that most of the bugs found will be patched after release I'm so confident in this that I will bet you a game on steam upto the value of £40 that's what's going to happen.

I'm not saying the game will be flawless but reading your other comment it seemed like you implied this game will be a bug ridden mess because of Activison being involved. Of course the game will have bug's, every game does on release but after playing the alpha I'm confident that the majority of the game will be bug/glitch etc free.

If you're talking about the fact that people think PS users will have Destiny DLC for a year then that is from something that was posted on Amazon but was taken down after a day or two. Has there been 'offical conformation' though? No, so some people may be putting the cart before the horse.

That's fair enough I get your point but like I said your original post didn't really come across that way when I read it. As for it being a marketing ploy, I'm sure it is but they do have a game to sell and I get to play the beta so I'm happy enough.
