Been really enjoying the TTK.

 

The story is pretty good, Cayde 6 (Nathan Fillion) steals the show no doubt.

 

The Raid is great, a real challenge.

 

Me and my team spread it over the last 4 nights and beat Oryx last night before reset. Oryx himself took us like 6 hours. We went in blind, so it was a learning process.

We managed to beat the Raid again today, in about 6 hours. This was a lot smoother run this time, with better gear and improved team work.

I've been rocking my Warlock since the TTK launched, my fireteam were on Titan and Hunter. Been working on Hunter a bit. I'll get the alts up a bit later, no rush.

If you did the Heroic Daily today, you would have gotten the opportunity to get the exotic Black Spindle which is basically Blackhammer 2.0

 

Sadly the task to get the damn gun was a pain in the ass but after 3 attempts (2 of them were with some random group I found on /fireteams, and the last one being a group of friends from real life) I finally got it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also Bungie announced that it'll be nerfed to 290 since it wasn't intended to be dropped at 310 in the first place.. FML. Might have to just go ahead and infuse it to my main weapon and buy myself the exotic from the kiosk.

As much as I dislike both, they're very handy for getting things like this, and I have a feeling there's still a lot left in store in terms of daily heroic secrets.

Right this every minute, many of you are acquiring Black Spindle. Surprise!

Wouldn't you know it, there is a bug that is enabling some of these weapons to drop at 310 - that's 20 points higher than intended. In the near future, we'll be releasing an update that will adjust the Black Spindle to match the attack rating for other Year Two Exotics.

It has also come to our attention that you are using this new acquisition to Infuse your other weapons. Good on you. Have fun with that. None of those weapons will be affected by this change - only the Spindle.

 

Thought a 310 Exotic was a worthy prize for that mission.

 

Guess I have to find something to infuse it with before they update it. Already bought and been using the buyable 300 version for infusion on specials. Got a few stored, buy some more later.

Forever stuck in the 290's since my crew can't take down Golgoroth. Their argument "ohh, well I saw a video with 3 or 4 280's beating the raid." Ohh really... do you have the skills of said 280??? Yeesh, they get on my nerves sometimes.

 

Anyway, I got the Hunter-exclusive Hand Cannon called "Ace of Spades." The exotic perk is interesting, and combined with Firefly, this gun can destroy a group bunched together with relative ease.

I haven't got the chance to use it yet, but it looks like it'll solve a lot of problems with the encounter. Really excited to try it out.

Tried out the raid for the first time yesterday, the group started at around 2:40 PM EST and we finally took down the bastard near 11:20 PM.. most of the issues were lag which were solved the minute we got to the second boss.

 

The second boss was pretty easy and we took him down in about 5 minutes but the first few tries we had some very terrible randoms (about 3 of them, while the other 2 were my rl friends who can hold their own) so after a few wipes they decided to leave and we picked up 3 from Reddit and took it down the first try.

 

Got nothing out of the raid till the end when I got the 'Silence of A'Arn' shotgun, 'War Numen's Mark' and 'War Numen's Fist". Started the raid at 298 and came out with 300.

 

I f*cking LOVE this raid and I'm happy it takes a lot of time to master especially due to the fact that this one requires more teamwork than the other raids IMO, the "hot potato" segment, the maze, the last stage are great examples.

 

Now I am 2 fragments away from 45 and can finish the last few steps for my Malice (only missing the Tier 2 and 3's from CoO) and then I'll work on the 25 guardian kills for my damn exotic sword

While we all know games that introduce this feature always start off by saying it's just cosmetics and then suddenly start throwing weapons and stuff later on, I'm hoping Bungie sticks to just emotes and possibly skins.. otherwise the reputation these guys gained after the latest expansion will all go to waste after a mediocre first year.

 

Been spending my entire week trying to do the Crucible questline... you know, the one that literally takes about a month to finish? Finally got it all done 2 days ago and did the weekly bounties for Shaxx yesterday all in one day and just got a 280 rocket launcher out of it.

I like how they give you 400 silver and the Carlton and slow clap is 500 silver. So you'll have to drop at least 5 bucks to get one of those. Cheeky bastards.

Iron Banner has been a huge pain in the ass, this is my first time actually attending it and I'm kicking ass with the Red Death (for obvious reasons I'm kinda not afraid to admit) but I just can't get any wins at all today... had a 6 game losing streak and came in first in every single one of them plus I managed to get to rank 2.5. It's like I can't play this game mode unless I'm with my fireteam who barely have time to play this week due to midterms or taking a break from the game.

 

And don't get me started on the damn new glitch for Shadow Shot, it's like a huge explosion of purpleness around my screen and the map every game.

King's Fall Hard Mode announced! It was scheduled to be released on the 30th but they're pulling it back a week so it's October 23rd at 10AM PST. Recommended light is 300-320 and gear drops are between 310 and 320.

 

Also they pushed back Trials of Osiris which was supposed to launch tomorrow until they fix that Shadowshot exploit, thank you lord for that I'm glad they were very aware of this just in time.

This is just me having too much time on my hands... but the No Time To Explain quest has been unlocked for those that took the secret path for Paradox a couple of weeks back. It's a bit of a tedious quest, but the gun actually amazes me. No Arc burn though, which really annoyed me.

 

Exotic Perk: Precision shots will just go right back into the magazine, a more advanced version of the Year 1 Black Hammer. Reserve ammo stays untouched when you land headshots, so just keep that trigger squeezed when you see yellow numbers flying.

I did that daily the first time it was out, but I only picked up the ghosts and never really bothered with the boss at the end since I was solo.

Was pissed off when I realized you needed the ghost in the chest behind him to advance to this quest, did it last night and I assumed that I'd get the mission to trigger it the next day (which is what happened to those that were trying to get the Sleeper?) but nope, it looks like those that waited until yesterday have to wait at least until the weekly reset.

 

I still did end up doing VOG for the first time since last Spring just to help out my buddies with their questline, it felt weird taking down Atheon with just one teleport but we all had our shares of laughter from start to finish including some "I remember when this was harder, even on normal mode".

This is my call for assistance:

GTAF is the only place I am social on the internet. Another thing is I was way late to console gaming and don't really know proper protocol so I tend to stay away from inviting people to games, starting parties or join other parties (without direct invite).

 

I really want to complete the level 38 story mission on Venus (I belive the mission name is Paradox). There is no way I can do it without a fireteam. I've come close to finishing it by myself so many times.

 

Anyone wanna help me out? Weekdays past 1400 GMT is my usual gaming time. Xbox one. Lvl 40, 235 light.

Probably not playing tonight because of BTTF day.

I recommend you guys to try out this week's Nightfall, extremely easy especially if you have any of the exotic swords.

Got myself a 302 ghost in the end, isn't that good but I'll take it considering I was stuck with a 300 one for almost 3 weeks now since the raid drops hate me.

Yeah I seen it was dust bowl or whatever it's called and the modifiers don't seem too bad. I'm a primary weapon guy, so the small arms is good since I never use my secondary or heavy.

 

Do nightfall strikes still kick you out to orbit when your squad is wiped? I read somewhere that it doesn't since 2.0 came out. I haven't even tried a nightfall since the taken king came out.

Nope they changed it, you now just start from the checkpoint like a normal strike.

Yep, doesn't matter if you wipe now. You have a 30 second respawn timer like the normal raid if you die, though. And yeah, an exotic sword (preferably Raze-Lighter or Dark-Drinker) + a tether or two is amazing for the psion bosses.

And lucky me, I got a 310 ghost from the nightfall this week, which means I can hit 309 with my main now. Just in time for hard mode

NTTE is pretty much my go-to primary now. As a PvE player, I tend to run a lot of Strikes and whatnot, and it works wonders on bosses and mini bosses (I LOVE using it on the Taniks Wolf Walker and the Goliath tanks). On top of that, it has very little recoil, a vertical recoil pattern, and incredible range (I believe it is the highest of all Y2 pulse rifles IIRC). It truly looks and performs like an exotic should, and it rewards a skilled hand.

I'm really new to the world of destiny and all it brings along...I just do quests/missions and hope the enemies will drop something useful...that vender dude in the tower never got exciting stuff...either rank 40 stuff or things I can pick up on my own during battles....I don't do PvP, if that means deathmatches and stuff against other players....I just do the quests and bounties...got 8000 in cash, don't know the currency's name right now....and I wanna buy something nice, but don't know where to find the right stuff..

 

also, so I can understand what you're talking about: please tell me what is FWC? firefly? crucible? imago loop?
