Why not just wait and see for yourself? Original Far Cry 3 game looked nothing like the one showed at the E3. Same with Aliens Colonial Marines and a lot more. It still can hold its own 5 years later BUT if you play Vanilla GTA IV today with the filter on, man it sure is grainy/smudgy looking. Vanilla GTA V is looking amazing. Obviously it will have better shadows etc. Switching gears a bit.. I've been playing Red Dead Redemption and to me at least GTA V is looking to blow RDR out of the water in the graphics department. As it Should...RDR is 3 years old now Holy Sh&t RDR is a great looking console game don't get me wrong BUT I think GTA V will have it beat a lot easier than some are assuming. In gameplay video shadows look on same level or EVEN BETTER than Red Dead Redemption(X360)!! It's fascinating how Rockstar managed to make shadows look sharp on a game of this HUGE scale! I could still play it right now for 24 hours straight regardless of the graphics. Anyway, V looks better than IV maxed out on a PC, and that is saying something. Franklin in the air Lighting, character's model, the camera work and sound create a clear sense of that you are close and feel the flow of air. It was so unexpected that half of people got up from chairs and came closer to see all this better. 2. The feeling that it is not a game but an expensive Hollywood movie. That emphasized not only by the incredible graphics and camera work, but also by awesome soundtrack. 3. Animation is much better than in GTA IV. It is not only smooth, but fast. Graphically, it all looked so incredible that it was hard to believe that in front of them is a game played on Playstation 3, which was released in 2006. According to author, there is an abyss between GTA IV and GTA V. Like between games of two different generation of consoles. 4. Water looks phenomenal. Scene with Trevor under water looked much more impressive than similar scene in recent demonstration of Call of Duty: Ghosts. 5. Music under water performed in the style of music in Metroid Prime. 6. Animation of character and his clothes are made masterfully. The way the character moves, turns, looks and gesticulates, looks simply incredible. . Wow. I think these are from the latest update. Gameplay trailer IMO, is either from January, or because of crappy compression on YouTube. I mean it would only seem reasonable if they show the not too old screens first, so that they can show the updated screens later on which shows the improvement.
