I don't know if you'd be forced to install because the only other game I know that requires that is Halo 4, and that's published by Microsoft so they would be able to do that. I think it will be two tops, have said this on multiple occasions. One disk for single-player and a second for the multiplayer aspect of the game. Installs are about 4-5GB. In GTAV, disc swapping would interfere with a seamless, non-linear experience. Rockstar can make GTA V fit one disc by reducing the amount of media content and compressing assets. The map size has little to do with it. The size of the soundtrack and the amount of dialogue have a lot to do with it. Remember GTAIV had enough "extra" space for the largest soundtrack in the series, video files for TV shows, and for missions to have a second conversation to play if you replayed after failing. An interesting example is Red Dead Redemption: it was released as 1 disc with singleplayer and multiplayer. Later, Undead Nightmare was released as 1 disc with singleplayer and multiplayer. For the Game of the Year edition, Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare singleplayer plus all singleplayer DLC are on disc 1, and multiplayer and all multiplayer DLC are on disc 2. What I heard with GTA IV was it was some where around 6.4 -6.8GB. So what makes you think a Bigger world filled with MORE stuff would take more space. I Had a Ps3 for 4 years and the blu ray drive failed on me because it always has to spin while playing a game. On the xbox i can install the entire contents of the disc (cant on ps3) and it only spins for 2 seconds when u start the game then stops. Why would they do that when half the time youre gonna be free roaming, it doesnt flow well at all. So if you beat the game with disc two, what would you use disc one again for? I bet there putting SP and MP on one disc, but if they dont each mode will have their own disc.
