Anyone wishing to pre-order the CE version and hasn't done so already, its going to be very difficult. R* didn't allocate many collectors edition to Australia, namely because they based the stock on pre-existing preorders, which are abysmally low since australian retailers charge ridiculously overpriced games. But fear not, if you want CE there is still hope. I went to 3 EB game stores in Sydney, and each of them told me the same thing: If you hadn't pre-ordered the game way back when GTA V was first revealed, you won't be able to get one in EB games. They had extremely limited stock, and so only people with previous preorders were entitled to get one. Special edition however was available. Prices were ridiculously high however: SE: $119.95 (In USA, only $79.99) CE: $169.95 (In USA, only 149.99) As you guys can see, CE costs roughly $20 - $25 more here, while the SE version is a ridiculous $40 - $45 more! Strange how the "cheaper option" is actually more expensive I had to get the CE version, so I kept searching. I knew that it had already been 5 days, and EB games nationwide were sold out. I heard JB HIFI still had limited stock left, so I tried them. First store didn't even have it in their system (only standard edition was available for PreOrder, not even Special edition!!??!). Luckily enough, the 2nd store still had stock left!! The guy at JB HIFI in Blacktown said they still had "a couple" left, so I rushed and preordered mine. Come September 17th, I get Collectors edition TLDR Stocks are still availabe at a few JB HIFIs, so you guys might still be able to pre-order collectors edition. I got the 2nd last one as there was only 18 allocated to my local store. The employee said because I had already put $50 on preorder that I would get one and then he showed me the computer order screen that showed about 400 preorders, 11 of which did not have enough down as their preorder but 382 of those people will be missing out on a CE. It's all about supply and demand and being the "first". When Ps3 was first released, it sold out worldwide. People were bidding $2500 on Ebay for crying out loud. Now days you can get one for less than $200 if you know where to look. But with GTA V collector's edition, so far I've been told they won't restock in Australia. Atleast not before release date. So if you want the full experience of GTA V on release date, the CE version is the only option. I just want all the DLC stuff, don't care much about the hat and money bag. Here is where you can get them, it will take approximately two weeks to ship (It's from the UK.) I buy many games from this site regularly. It's UK based retailing to Australia for below Australian retail prices. Yes all games work on PS3 and 360 as it's the same region and PS3 is region free anyway. That's why I had to get the CE version over the SE version. I'm willing to pay 20 bucks more for the CE version, but not $120 for the SE version which is readily available in the states for a mere $80. As for that website, it said they aren't in stock, so there's no guarantee you'd be able to get one with them. Unlike most retailers, should you decide to pick up the game from them, you only have to pay on the day it seems. The PS3 versions are sold out. Im very suprised, i own both consoles but my friends all use PS3 so that was my choice. But i havnt really experienced the PS3 seemingly outselling 360 versions of a game.
