Map included in the regular edition?

I did a quick search and didnt find anything (i had way too manu results).

 

I was wondering, since the blueprints are only included in the Special & Collector's edition, do you guys think that there'll be a city map (not necessarly a map showing hidden stuff, but juat a "good ol' GTA map")with the standard edition?

Yes but not in full-form blueprint POI form. That's only for the SE & CE.

The blueprint one show more than the regular map, that's why it's reserved to specials and collectors editions.

 

CE = Collector edition

SE = special edition

I would like the in game map to be blank though - until you go to that area and then it shows on the screen.

 

I don't mean faded out a bit - complete blank. That way it will make it great fun the first time you go off an explore.

 

I know we have seen the city but the country should be left until we get the game.

 

(as long as you don't look at the paper map or the blue print poster when you buy it)

Unless the map is handed over separately, chances are it is going to be folded.

In the photo it was rolled up, so it might be handed to you like that.

You always have the choice to whether open the ingame map or not. But I hope Rockstar decides to get away from this GPS style minimap - the traditional one is superb, why did they get away from that one???

The maps in the SE and CE are to help find vehicles,fast money,stores, and secret locations in regular it's just the map.

It has already been implied by rockstar. They said the blueprint is an additional map.

Either way once its out the "map" in question will most likely be uploaded so anyone can view it. Or print it out. It's really not a big deal.

Whether it comes with the original game or not. Most of the GTAs DID come with the full map. I should know since I have them all. lol
