redx165
I would only want this for vehicles thatbi bought with money, not the stolen ones Agreed. It will give the money system more value. If not you could just steal any car and have it forever. Cars you buy could have a sort of insurance way of doing it and cost a fee to get back and be fixed if they get totaled. Or automatically repair owned vehicles when you save. I like your idea. If you buy a car and wreck it you have to pay to fix it again. It won't be cheap but not too expensive. Prestb97
This feature would be good. If you don't like it, DON'T USE IT. If you don't want to make a car no longer feel special/rare, drive it into the ocean before saving the game.
VillNess
I hated the fact that in GTA IV I had cool cars parked outside my apartments which were there only for a show... I almost never used them because if I mess up with them, they're gone... I hope GTA V will have a garage system which is a MIX of GTA IV and Saints Row (Mafia2). Carages would have a vehicle limit. The bigger the carage the bigger the maximum number of vehicles. Cars which you buy with money from car stores etc. will be stored to a carage forever and only way to lose it is to delete it manually. If bought car gets destroyed you can pay $ to repair it in carage. You can store stolen vehicles in garages too but if they get destroyed they're gone forever because if you tried to repair it you would get caught for stealing it. Maybe some black market repairs could be there, which would cost A LOT of $... Also, what if customization is available only on bought vehicles? Or again, stolen can be customized in shady place with a lot of more money.
Racecarlock
No: 1. Individual cars would not feel special anymore since they could just be summoned at any time. 2. There would be no incentive to steal cars. 3. There would be no incentive to pay for parking garages, extra properties with garage spaces, towing services, or utilize related in-game features. Spawning cars magically out of thin air is what cheats are for. "1. Individual cars would not feel special anymore since they could just be summoned at any time." Well they certainly don't have any worth when you're too afraid to lose them so you never drive them. "2. There would be no incentive to steal cars." Except if a car is too expensive and so you steal it to store it early. "3. There would be no incentive to pay for parking garages, extra properties with garage spaces, towing services, or utilize related in-game features." Oh well god forbid something rob me of my incentive to sit by the road for a half hour, waiting for a tow truck. Because that's a valuable use of my in game time. Not having fun doing donuts and driving off cliffs in my customized car, no, just sitting by and waiting for a tow truck. Video Games!
Voit Turyv
I really agree on this idea. I first saw that in SR2 and I loved it. My unique cars weren't useless for the first time. Same for SR3 and hopefully SR4.
K.Walters
I would like the SR3 version, but it could be that once you store a car that you bought it becomes permenant, but the ones you stole and stored in the garage they are only 1 time use, so if you crash it you don`t get it back. I don't see the point. It make sense for it to be the other way around if anything, as any car you buy, you can just buy again. Stolen cars may not be as easy to replace. gta5freemode4eva
No to the SR style of garage, it wouldn't suit GTA's play style. A big car lot, big ass garage (the hanger SA?) or underground garage would be cool. Once we purchase a car I think there will be a way to fix it (mechanic skill) or we can purchase another one at a decent reduced rate which is an incentive to drive well and it gives you that sense of ownership and reward. Maybe we can call up a 'friend' and they can drop off one of the many vehicles that you own? Will be interesting to see how it works.
Hollywood4Life
Im getting the CE and I think it would be hilarious if I wreck my hotknife within the first minutes of game play and then it's gone forever. There is no way that's going to happen. Like others have said, maybe we can go to a mechanic and "fix" the car even after its totalled, laying in a ditch somewhere. (this same concept has to apply to any vehicles we buy and upgrade) Edited May 26, 2013 by Hollywood4Life
BlackNoise
I think you should be able to pay to get your vehicles fixed, but I don't want to save vehicles forever like SR.

Same with the Khamelion online - if someone trashes yours in free roam, go back to whatever equivalent of RDR's outfitter V has and get it again. Input
It would for sure make a very convenient access to our cars, but GTA always goes for realism so I would imagine they have some kind of upgraded IV parking spot system. Or maybe when you leave your car it just remains there, so you can pretty much park anywhere.
