xXxGtaFr3akxXx
In the past GTA's I loved doing the old side missions like being able to respond to crimes in a police vehicle or picking up fares in a taxi do you reckon this will come back and how? Kiffster
I personally didn't like the taxi missions too much because of the time limits. If taxi missions return, I hope there's no time limit! Instead, each person should be willing to pay you the maximum taxi fare, but only IF you get them to their destination safely. Each crash or whatever should result in a small penalty of the total fare. But I do think it'll be back! That and maybe bus missions too. Or even tour bus missions. xXxGtaFr3akxXx
Yeah i hated that to and also the GTA IV time limit with the police missions really sucked and I think they should have a proper taxi depot that'd be awesome!!
Jordan_Philip
Taxi missions were the best. I hope they return
sivaG
Nah.. I don't think so. Riding the Taxi for a few dollars when you can make millions by doing Heists? But, If it's for fun then Rockstar better disable the time limit crap.

Raavi
No. You're no longer the errand boy, you're the high roller now. And high rollers don't drive taxi's nor police cars for an extra buck. They get driven in the back of armored Bentley Mulsannes or Maybachs. Taxi mission do simply not fit the narrative. Do you see a CEO cleaning toilets of his multinational? No. Edit: It doesn't fit Michael or Trevor, maybe for Franklin. Edited May 26, 2013 by Raavi – overeducated wonk who fetishises compromise

Don_Corleone
I think I read something about them not being in the game cause they didn't fit the characters.
L.S.P.D.
GTA V would not be the same without it
omer19992010
I think I read something about them not being in the game cause they didn't fit the characters. They said it's in the game but the side missions like taxi,Vigilante,Paramedic and Firefighter are going to be different because they won't fit the the characters Personality's. _StackS_
See this is something I miss. I remeber whenever I picked up a new gta or did a new playthrough id do the taxi, parmedic, fire fighter, and viglante side missions first for 1 so I could listen to the soundtrack before I got into the story. 2 to roleplay as that's always fun. 3 to get the upgrades or new abilties when completing them like becoming fireproof and what not. Then I pick up iv and I was like wtf!?!? They forced me to do the story just so I could have the option to do taxi and police missions and still for the taxi you had to call roman. It sucked... I don't even think there was a new ability for finishing the taxi or vigilante missions in iv. Imo iv took some steps forward but took too many steps back for it to be what we loved about a gta game. But thankfully it looks like R* has relized that and is answering the fans complaints in v wo I can't wait. But I haven't heard anthing about side missions in v. I'm hoping so! Guest
I hope they come back except with more added to it. The missions need to be more than just driving the person to a location. What I mean is, sometimes you will take ppl somewhere with no time limit and other instances "with" a time limits. Sometimes the fare should result in random side missions like taking someone multiple places to spy on their spouse or someone jumps in your cab while being chases by the cops, puts a gun to your head and screams DRIVE!! lol You then have to take them where they want to go AFTER shaking the cops. If you dont he will shoot you and you respawn at the hospital. The NPC's also need to have alot of dialog. I want to here crazy stuff like on Taxicab Confessions. BeardedxMic
Riding the Taxi for a few dollars when you can make millions by doing Heists? This. Taxi missions may be good, when you aren't doing heists, but when you are, it's kinda silly You need to make money to pull off the heists. You're gonna need a sidejob. Besides, the taxi bit was only a story point in the last game. In every other game, it was just a job you could do. I personally don't need it to make sense, I just need it to be fun. But not in a SR3 way. That was way too little sense, and not really any fun.
