DS 17
Wait.. if wounds are permanent... will there be a plastic surgeon, that you pay with the cash earned, who can remove your wounds? Also, Los Angeles is the USA capital of the plastic surgery (with Miami, obviously). Could be very likely. And it would not be a problem for them making that extra available. Miss Darko
"Sometimes damages (like wounds, Injured by bullet...) will leave marks on the body of the characters forever." That doesn't seem right at all, if so it must be in certain missions or events... However nothing of this is confrimed. It seems plausible. In GTA IV if you've ever noticed after a gun fight Niko gets small cuts on his face although they're not permanent. I think that what's in IV and RDR is more or less what they mean. It's not an English-speaking publication, so some things can sound wrong when translated, so I think they just mean that wounds will stick around for while (seemingly permanent even though they eventually disappear), as opposed to in many games where there's no marks where you get hit. assmillk
"For the first time in the series there was background music" I don't know what to think about this. Is it just random like when we are walking in the forest we hear some music, or is it more like on specific moments like during a police chase in a mission? I'm 95% sure you can toggle it off. Yes, I'm positive that there will be separate volume sliders for the musical score and the radio audio in the options menu. Early on there was also word about there being an options which decides whether radio music or the musical score takes priority during car chase moments in missions (and possibly when wanted). I think R* is aware that this is a controversial addition, so I'm sure that they will try to keep it from being a problem for those who don't want it. [email protected]Spider-Vice Yeah, it probably makes more sense that it was turned off for the purposes of the demo (so that the car doesn't get totaled). GTA Master Blaster
GTA Town uploaded this on Facebook, and is stating that it's correct, but where is the source for this? It's really strange to see how so many journalist have so many different opinions on the graphics, some calling it slightly updated GTA IV and now they say it looks like RDR. If it looks anything like RDR I'm more than fine with the visual aspect of the game. I Second This

I think a lot of people will like it once they see how it works. It's not songs and it's not always on. It's just ambience music that helps set the mood. I loved it in RDR and can't wait for it in V. Providing it's like GTA IV(maybe better) that's fine. - The map is enormous and includes many underwater locations. The thing I find odd about it is that GTA worlds are much more broad than in RDR. RDR has a very clear tone set all throughout, very somber and moody, and the music fit perfectly with that. But GTA jumps all over the place from moment to moment in terms of tone. With missions it makes sense, but the recent previews have confirmed it plays during free-roam sometimes as well, and I wasn't expecting that. How does it decide how things are supposed to feel at any particular moment? That said, I'm interested in what they're doing with it, and I'll probably keep it on. But it seems that from this point forward they're going to be establishing a tone during free-roam when they didn't before. So sometimes it might not fit for me, and while I never turned off the music in RDR, I might go back and forth in GTA V depending on what I'm doing. Zeta87
@Zeta87 5 mins to go from one end to other end. go redo your maths because that would mean the map is sh*t small 1 in game minute = 2 real life seconds, so 30 in game seconds = 1 real life seconds, so in game time is 30x faster than real life time... so 150 in game minutes ( 2,5 in game hours ) are 5 real life minutes. What's wrong with my maths? I rather think it's a fake info.. Edited May 26, 2013 by Zeta87
7REW7
not say the info is right. just saying 5mins is way to low should be more like 10mins to 15mins based on what the expected size of the map is.

Masher8559
Why is background music bad?It was the best thing in Skyrim. You can't compare skyrim with GTA. Skyrim is all about the atmosphere and Skyrim does not have radio stations when riding a horse. If the background music is only during missions that will be fine, but if it's background music in general then not so good.
Miss Darko
If the background music is only during missions that will be fine, but if it's background music in general then not so good. The recent previews (CVG and everyone else, not just this one) confirmed that it will play in the background during free-roam as well (it was playing during Franklin's skydiving and Trevor's dive), it was described as subtle ambient music. So it appears that in GTA V, they are attempting to establish a tone during the free-roam, although it will be subtle and probably not playing all the time. It will stop as soon as you get in a car when the the radio is on, that's obvious.
Edward-Is-A-Flunky45
But I think you can turn off the BG music.. If you want to hear the sound of the enviroment.. The people talking, the cars... Bantri
this details leaked by the Russian magazines in 23 may Sometimes damages (like wounds, Injured by bullet...) will leave marks on the body of the characters forever. In the beginning of the demo we seen Franklin jumping out of a plane with a parachute, While Franklin in the air, you notice a lot of interesting things: A military base hidden in the hills. Wild animals prey on each other. Motocross track and a hunting ground. Also you see tourists walking in the mountains, near the river and a few people go fishing, and more. Some of the problems that associated with the low capacity of some platforms still exist, like the number of cars on the street... For the first time in the series there was background music. The underwater world around Los Santos looks great, it's probably the most beautiful image of the sea in the games. Colored fish swim among the rocks and Shark swims near you. Source: Behindgames holy shizu. Sometimes damages (like wounds, Injured by bullet...) will leave marks on the body of the characters forever. i like this one. Hmmm, I don't like it. What would it look like in 4 years. Every character will be walking scabs. They will be one huge scar. If it's cutscene type stuff, that is fine. Get a scar from that, but if it's dynamic and happens just from getting hurt. That would look terrible after time. Just think how many times your character gets hurt in GTA 4. Get in an explosion and look like a ghoul from Fallout.
