New GTAV details leaked by Russian magazines

Well, a lot of previews CONFIRMED that the wounds are completely generic.

It means, if you got shot a lot of times, there will be wounds here and there.

Making scars permanent is a complete bullsh*t. It's just a troll.

Imagine having wounds all over Frank's body. How will the RAM handle it(especially PS3's RAM)?

Look at what happened to Skyrim, everything was saved to the gamesave, then it was loaded to the RAM.

The more you played the game, the bigger the gamesave, the heavier the load.

Don't believe that crap.

Even though I don't think permascars are true, if it were true, it wouldn't a limitless number. I'm pretty sure the game could remember a max of (for example) 3 scars on torso, 2 on each arm, one on face and 1 on each leg without taxing the save too heavily.

I think if it happens it'll be for major scenes/events, and won't just be randomly generated. Or if you die and wake up later in a hospital.

Even though I still don't think perma-scars are likely true, I agree that that is most likely. There might be a mission/cutsene where Trevor's caught in an explosion, and for the rest of the game he'll have a burn, or a scene where a Franklin is the victim of a driveby, and for the rest of the game he has the bullet scars on his torso, etc.

This wouldn't be a problem if it were made for PC and ported to consoles, but nooo.

"Sometimes damages (like wounds, Injured by bullet...) will leave marks on the body of the characters forever."

That doesn't seem right at all, if so it must be in certain missions or events...

However nothing of this is confrimed.

It seems plausible. In GTA IV if you've ever noticed after a gun fight Niko gets small cuts on his face although they're not permanent.

"For the first time in the series there was background music"

I don't know what to think about this. Is it just random like when we are walking in the forest we hear some music, or is it more like on specific moments like during a police chase in a mission?

It was confirmed that there will be a background music in certain environments, for example when diving underwater.

Personally I would like something like this (I'm a Zelda fan):

Doesn't really fit GTA though biggrin.gif.

As long as it's not like the Fable series where by game's end your covered head to toe with scars.

But in Fable they glowed bright lol i don't think V's will do that, be much more subtle.

Oh my god, the memories biggrin.gif. I LOVED the swimming in Mario 64, kept me entertained for hours as a kid. Simpler times. Awesome music in that game as well. icon14.gif

OT: These are interesting leaks. I like the idea of subtle background music when free roaming, it can really set the mood if done right like in RDR.

During previews of GTA 4, some magazines and websites claimed that fire and explosions would permanently damage the world. That didn't happen, although; if you died near the spawn point while there was fire or grenade damage, it would still be there after you respawned, thats most likely why they claimed it.

This time, I'd guess scars stay for a while after spawning, fade after a while and again the magazine didn't stay around long enough to see them disappear.

Or, the whole thing is a lie.

In RDR this happened.

A musical score it's called.

Have you played Uncharted before? It has a score all throughout except for brief moments, it really adds to the experience, and you don't even notice.

I assume the background music will be similar to RDR's, where significant events lead to a song playing in the background. I'll put an example of this here too, but in case you haven't beat the game I suggest not watching it. I'm glad to see similarities between GTA V and RDR though. The scars thing will be interesting.

this details leaked by the Russian magazines in 23 may

Sometimes damages (like wounds, Injured by bullet...) will leave marks on the body of the characters forever.

In the beginning of the demo we seen Franklin jumping out of a plane with a parachute, While Franklin in the air, you notice a lot of interesting things:

A military base hidden in the hills.

Wild animals prey on each other.

Motocross track and a hunting ground. Also you see tourists walking in the mountains, near the river and a few people go fishing, and more.

Some of the problems that associated with the low capacity of some platforms still exist, like the number of cars on the street...

For the first time in the series there was background music.

The underwater world around Los Santos looks great, it's probably the most beautiful image of the sea in the games. Colored fish swim among the rocks and Shark swims near you.

None of this is really new. And I'm still hating the idea of background music, it's kind of stupid. I'll be turning that off first thing I get the game.

I'm confused, wasn't this confirmed to be fake? Or was that another Russian preview?

What the hell? Thats the "background music" in RDR? I mean I hope GTA is more like instrumental and about the character mood/ situation, I don't want music like if I had a huge stereo with hip-hop on it while I'm walking or something.

I think they mean until you die. And the background music is mission only in the action packed scenes, why would a Russian publication all of a sudden say something completely different from all the other english speaking big publications?

The 460 vehicles statement has been discussed, iirc it was made up by someone and not seen by others... Can't find the topic unfortunately.

I hope the tilted minimap isn't true nervous.gif

Wait.. if wounds are permanent... will there be a plastic surgeon, that you pay with the cash earned, who can remove your wounds?

Also, Los Angeles is the USA capital of the plastic surgery (with Miami, obviously).

maybe it's like the batman arkham game you get scars as you progress by mission related events

to get scars in free roaming would be impossible as you also die in free roaming and you can't have a body filled with scars everywhere that would overlap eachother

Rockstar claim it will take 2.5 hours to travel from one end of the map to the other on a train

In game hours or real time? I highly doubt it can be real time.

That does seem like a lot, even considering that trains aren't particularly fast. I hope they're telling the truth, but I'm not believing it really.

Sure, and after like 5 big publications saw the game, none noticed those things except a sole Russian one.

It's really strange to see how so many journalist have so many different opinions on the graphics, some calling it slightly updated GTA IV and now they say it looks like RDR. If it looks anything like RDR I'm more than fine with the visual aspect of the game.
