jameznash
As long as we have some cars - in GTA IV how many times did you run around being chased by police and find NO cars at all - even if you run down a long road or a few blocks - NOTHING. (on ps3) as long as it stop's doing that I am happy. WONT HAPPEN ON NEXT GEN AND PC - But 360 and ps3 will have a physical limit to what it can create. iNero
No, they said that there will be LESS peds than previous games, not more. At least thats what they said in the first preview. No quite sure they said MORE peds. "Rockstar says there will be five times as many pedestrians in GTAV as there were in Grand Theft Auto IV" http://www.gtav.net/news/4521/gtav-online-...and-screenshots Ah, it's one of those things where they lied. Ok then, thanks for the source. But if you search the first preview, etc, they said less (where they said there won't be tattos, properties, business, etc). No. This just shows the summary. In the original article you can read and assume that he means models as they already said there will be less in the last preview cause that would fit to LA as there are less people on the streets than in NY. 5 times as many peds would be too much and unnecessary and a waste of ressourses tbh

Fail_At_GTA
Rockstar has more important things to work on besides the amount of traffic. The game is still a work in progress. I believe the traffic issue was noticed way back in the first trailer too, and we got a response about it at some point. You can research for it if you want, I don't have time. OT: I don't really care if it isn't full packed with cars. I hope that the PC version don't have any memory limits. They probably meant that there will be 5 times more DIFFERENT pedestrians than GTAIV (so you are 5x less likely to see the same ped twice) but there will be less peds on screen at the same time. nigelhere9901
Those pics are taken from a dev kit, which has double the amount of ram to normal consoles. Source? I don't buy that. It's pretty obvious that a promotional screenshot can't show a sh*tty game. They'll show to you the best they can, even if it's fake They want you to buy the game. That can't be true. Give me some examples. That is obvious. Refer to pre-release GTA IV screenshots.

"Rockstar says there will be five times as many pedestrians in GTAV as there were in Grand Theft Auto IV" http://www.gtav.net/news/4521/gtav-online-...and-screenshots For Christ sake by "More peds" they mean a greater variety of peds meaning you will see the same person less frequently than in IV. And there will be less overall peds on the street because LA has less walkers than NYC does so it only makes sense.

For christs sakes 5x's the amount of peds means more peds on the street in general no just unique looking different peds or else they would have stated that.Besides they changed that in IV with peds changing clothes. And back to OT there will be as many cars should be in a particular area, freeway a ton, rural area middle of nowhere very fer.

The only way we'll know our answers to this is either we start seeing some demo play's or when the game comes out. DiewaitingforGTA5
ever thought of so-called "traffic jam", Rockstar ??!! Imagine using a rocket launcher to blow up a bunch of cars ???!!!!!!
niggawithashank
hopefully theres so much traffic on the road that traffic jams would start on the very busy streets. sothat i can take a big rig truck with trailer attached and ram it rite through it all. really i dont see nothing short of a few cars on the road. because i can see gta5 is gunna have some very busy and crowed roads highways and side walks than any other gta game to date. and thats gunna be amazing on how it looks. Chukkles
Is this too few? That's a screen shot, final build. Of game will be different. Do you not remember seeing Times Square with a lot of peds and cars, then with IV it's practically empty. But really what do you expect with 8 year old hardware. I think everyone's going to have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that V is never going to be The Perfect Game. It's gonna be good, but don't let your expectations ruin it for you. Yes roads aren't going to be jammed, not even like it should be in LA with all the traffic.
southparkmayor
Is this too few? and you know that this was a pretty old build which wasnt optimized? optimization means to tweak things.
