Dick Justice Posted July 7, 2013 Share Posted July 7, 2013 I would bet my life on the digital content eventually being released on Live and PSN. My reason? Because it's all pre-order bonuses. If they don't release it digitally afterwards, they'll never make future revenue on it. Once retailers sell out of The Collector's and Special Editions, Rockstar will have no other way of making money off the content they put painstaking work in to creating. You can't tell me they put the effort into making a flyable blimp only to make it available to people who pre-ordered. Plus, they have a history of doing this with Red Dead and LA Noire. You're right about the garage, it seems like something bring unlocked early, but the vehicles (and even the new guns and clothes and tattoos) are going to be exclusive content. Those will likely become DLC later on. Please tell me where I misinterpreted it? People keep calling the digital content exclusive, but R* has never said anything about the digital content being exclusive. That's where people are misinterpreting it. Just read it straight, and tell me if you can find one mention of the digital content being exclusive. I'm specifically talking about the three vehicles mentioned in the CE. It's all about wording. Notice how the vehicles are called "unique" or "special" instead of "exclusive". If you don't think R* chooses their words carefully, I can understand where you're coming from, but it seems pretty clear R* is being careful to avoid using the word "exclusive" for the digital content. The digital content definitely isn't exclusive, because R* would've just told us they were like they did with the actual exclusive content. The only question is if the vehicles are already in the game or if they will become DLC later. I remember this back when RDR was releasing... I think he's just talking about picking your own, instead of getting stuck with the terrible helmets we had in GTA IV when you want to wear one. I doubt they'll make it available for anyone after like a week more like a few years No. Try about 2 months later maybe. The average life of a video game is supposed to be about 8 weeks. After that, resale becomes a problem. This is why DLC is usually introduced, to keep people from doing that. So I'd say that the cars will be made available around thanksgiving, and they'll probably be packaged together, as R* doesn't seem like the type to sell them piecemeal.
