Scampi Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 I pray to god this is true. Every previous GTA for the last 15 years has had all the vehicles included on disc and obtainable through normal play. It'd suck to start a new trend where they piecemeal them out via online codes. I like having a complete car collection. What's going to happen in 15 years when I put V in and want to replay it but PSN and XBox Marketplace have been phased out and I can't log on and download them? What are they, just lost forever? I just hate this entire 'online only' concept. Hopefully V will be a throwback to SA in the sense there will be some difficult method of unlocking the Hotknife. It's quite stupid that A) You are left without things in the game just because you don't throw 150 euros blindly to Rockstar. B) They where limitted so can't even purchase it anymore eventough I (and many others probably) would have wanted. C) No I'm not going to order it from another country just so I have to pay for about 170-200e for the shipping and all that. No game's worth that. I just hope that the weapons are in the game they just cost more or are hard to get. Same goes for the vehicles. Day one dlc type of things have always been a bit BS, ( like for example BF4 has already anounced day one dlc with new weapons and maps) but well I hope it's not a new trend in Rockstar. The fact that they used the word 'instantly' indicates to me, that what you're getting with your Collector's Edition, is early access to these vehicles. The garage you get, might be one you would otherwise have to purchase, saving you some money, and the vehicles stored in it, might only be available for purchase later in the game. I'm sure if they were, they'd make it a point to mention it as it would be greater incentive to buy the collectors edition. I enjoy the Hotknife in SA because I actually earned it and not everyone has it. If SA had MP and I was driving my Hotknife around after spending another 15 minutes getting gold on all the tests, and see there's a bunch of people who bought their Hotknife driving around, I'd be annoyed. Which is why the Time Savers pack on Burnout Paradise annoyed me. I played the game a lot to get the Platinum paintwork and all the carbon cars, it was quite upsetting to see everyone driving them around because they can throw money at a game instead of playing it. I ordered the CE, so I want the exclusive digital content to mean something, but I don't want it to be stuff that people can't get in the standard game, so unique versions of existing vehicles seems the fairest idea. So now I'm thinking about pre-ordering the Special Edition because the only extra things you get with the collectors is that early acces to the HotKnife and the Carbon RS bike, and that Khameleon electric car, those previous GTA characters in Multiplayer Character Creator, the cap and the bag. @Niko Vercetti 112: No.. OT: They do look like quite nice vehicles, but I'm not willing to pay £100 just for some extra cars and multiplayer characters (I'd never use the other merchandise). SirJohnnyStark Posted July 5, 2013 Share Posted July 5, 2013 Something about the KHAMELION: strange is that R* says, that the Khamilion electric car is obtainable during multiplayer... they neither confirm nor deny it, if this electric car is ONLY obtainable in multiplayer or not... but strangely there are 3 Screenshots where you can see Michael drive the Khamilion... so these are definately screens recorded in singleplayer... maybe that means the Khamilion is stored in the garage while multiplayer, but obtainable on streets or unlockable during progression in singleplayer... and why would they show this exact car in 3 screenshots, if it would be exclusive for the collectors edition??? because common sense says, that released screenshots will depict ONLY things of the standard game... they would NEVER depict EXCLUSIVE CONTENT in REGULAR SCREENSHOTS (without mention it) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
