Hey I grew up off the coast Channel Islands man. Anyway the main problem is we nave no idea how big those blue prints roll out to be and also whos to say they arent only blueprints of Los Santos and not the rest of the map? It's a wonderfully beautiful island. With a lot of flora as well as fauna diversity. It's a wonderfully beautiful island. With a lot of flora as well as fauna diversity. That would simply be a must for GTA V! Catalina Island would be a great destination in GTAV. It's got a small airstrip and a small coastal town and a distinctive casino, and it seems like it would be a fun rural / woodsy design job and not be excessively large or difficult to design. In real life helicopters and express ferries go to and from Catalina several times a day, so there's lots of reasons to have air/sea traffic and game events on Catalina. There is also real world scuba activity there. It would fit well into the game and the SoCal vibe. Finally, if they put re-imagined Catalina Island far enough off the Los Santos coast, the apparent ocean size would seem bigger. Also, in real life, the ocean floor drops down to 3000 feet depth between Catalina and the mainland, so the GTAV designers would not have to populate all of that deep ocean area -- neither the sub nor scuba gear could go that deep. Bottom line is that Catalina would be fun, appropriate and not that difficult to include in GTAV. Perhaps they have put it in the game and just not revealed it yet.
