straxi1234
Just got a call from local retailer to say that Samsung couldn't supply the 50" I ordered so they are supplying the 55" no charge
Killerdude
20" will work, But, 32" is optimal for gaming. If money isn't an issue, Get a Sharp. Sony and Samsung are really good and also decently priced, But don't go any other way. 3 S's yo.

d3ex2
I have a 32' inch Samsung which only supports HD TV, not gaming or DVD's. Plus it's got burn in all over and a nice big black line down the centre. Sounds f*cked as well. You'll be fine. What? Seriously? I've never heard of a TV that doesn't play DVD/Bluray or allow consoles. There are no SCART/Composite/HDMI ports? My 42" Samsung TV is about 4 years old and it's a PLASMA so I have lots of burn in, a black strip down the right edge and the backlight is visible. It's a great TV but I guess it's just the age of it now. The other TV downstairs is f*cked as well. All the pixels take forever to change colour so you see little red/blue flashes constantly. BlackNoise
20" is fine. As long as it's HD. It really just depends on how close you are to your TV/monitor.

meowstache
It really depends on how far you sit from the tv when gaming, i have a 32" Samsung full HD and for me that is more than enough
GroundZero
As I stated before, I sit, like, one meter away from my TV, and yes, it is HD

Molotov69
anything above 23 inch is enough. but remember the size of a television depends only on how far you are from the television. if you sitting right in front of it 23 inch is enough. when you are 3-4 meters away you need a 37 inch or bigger television. i got a 37 inch phillips with ambilight. Kirsty
Honestly it depends on personal preference, there is no 'is this too small or too big'. You might think bigger is better (damn all these dirty innuendos ) but it depends how far away you will be sitting from the TV. If you were sitting quite close, like a PC, you'd notice a dip in the quality as you'll notice more of the pixels and maybe even some lag sometimes depending how good the TV is; far away and a 40"+ TV with would be perfect. In comparison, sitting at a desk with it hooked up to a 23" HD monitor would definitely not lessen the quality. You'd have to be a lot closer, like a PC, to get immersed in the game but it would look and run just as great. I haven't decided whether I'll be using my 40" TV or getting a second 23" monitor to play alongside my PC. I believe either of them will still give me a great experience. doubled
It depends on the quality of the TV, the resolution of the TV, the size of the TV, the distance you sit from the TV etc etc. Everybody in here saying you should get a xx inch tv is a huge idiot. Kuunkulta
Personally I hate playing on tv, any tv. I've tried 42", 32" and 23" and in all of them the picture just doesn't seem sharp enough for me. I need to stick my nose in the screen to read anything! Now I have my Xbox connected to my 21,5" 3D LED computer display and 5.1 speakers and I'm relatively happy with it.
