In MP3 the DLC weapons dont appear for non subscribed DLC players. For instance, the M4, UAR, Stun Gun, Pepper Spray....ect dont appear in the regular mp, so you will never see those weapons (only when you die by it) if you dont have the DLC.

That's not strictly true. If I see a dropped M4 or Stun Gun on the ground from a dead player I can pick it up and use it even if I don't own the DLC that the select weapon is part of. This will probably be the same for GTAV in a way that you can drive the Hotrod/Electric Car even if you don't own the DLC by carjacking someone in game who does.

 

 

For example, I was playing on "Hoboken" MP map on Max Payne 3. I picked up the "Stun Gun" from a dead player even though I have never bought the DLC it came from. I could use it as well against other players too.

According to the Russian gameplay information they said there are over 460 Vehicles and said some are quite rare to come by. Assuming the HotRod is going to be quite rare UNLESS you purchased the CE I'll say that it's in the game; but hard to find.

That said 460 Vehicles is a little hard to belive, San Andreas had 192 or so, I'm betting GTAV has about 220-240, 260 tops.

 

If it is 460, I'd be shocked beyond belife in a good way but I just don't see it.

They'll probably let you drive the car if someone else bought the Special/Collectors Edition. The same works for Max Payne 3, you can use DLC weapons even if you haven't purchased the DLC if you pick them up from players who have bought the retrospective DLC.

Really ? When i was playing MP3 online, it said that someone killed me with an M4, but when i see the gun, it was just a low texture gold AK47.

I know there's a lot of talk about multiplayer in this thread, but what about single player?

 

You can't just smash the window of any car and hotwire it to get it started these days, but you have to draw the line of realism somewhere. Maybe only Franklin has access to keys to rob some newer cars or something, or you meet a contact eventually that can get you keys (think the shop which sold horses in RDR. Your contact may only get certain keys in as you advance in the game) but you have to find the car to rob yourself. Would be cool and also give you the feel that you've 'earned' the car rather than just going to a nice part of town and finding an abundance of them that are easy to steal.

Its probably early access, like many said, you can still get it later in the game. As for the blimp, i believe that its only the atomic blimp that we cant get access to.

Well, they only said "The Atomic Blimp", the way they worded it sounds like that the blimp from pre order bonus is an exclusive one. And the bonus vehicles will be "instantly" available for CE, means that the people who buy the CE wont get the trouble of trying to get those bonus vehicles.

Unfortunately I believe the cars will be exclusives and unlocked later on in the release cycle.

 

e.g, the Red Dead Redemption War Horse, it was basically a vehicle and was a pre-order bonus, it was released 6 months later.

 

I'm sure we will get these vehicles, however we will more than likely have to wait

Where everybody else just has to probably unlock them up from leveling up in Multiplayer or buying them in Singleplayer. If we steal someones car which we havent unlocked I just think were allowed to drive it but not save it. (Presuming we can save cars)

That would make the player character/car invisible to those who didn't have the CE edition. Remember its not a DLC its early access to content that is already in the game for everybody.

Y'all need to actually read the description for the various content & then stop over-thinking it.

To me the word "ensure" there means that everybody has access to it, however it will always be docked at the airport in your game as soon as you get there, whereas in games that don't have that access it will sometimes be docked at the airport in your game.

 

 

"Unique Vehicles and Garage Property - players will instantly receive a garage to store custom vehicles. In single-player, the garage will be stocked with the 1930's style Hotknife hotrod and the CarbonRS sports bike. In Grand Theft Auto Online, players will get the high-end Khamelion electric car."

 

To me that reads as 'you will have a garage automatically from the start of the game & those vehicles will always spawn in that garage'. It doesn't say those vehicles are exclusive or rare or anything, just that they will always appear automatically in a garage no matter how many times you drive them out of that garage and don't put them back. The garage is likely one that automatically unlocks a few missions into the game for everybody, you just get it from the start without doing any missions if you get the collectors edition. Those cars will be regular cars in the game, however if you don't have the collectors edition then an infinite amount of them won't spawn in your garage, meaning if you have one but then don't park it back in your garage at the end of your game session then you'll lose it.

People who don't have the CE code have to purchase those weapons at the store, while those with the CE code will get them for free.

Just look at Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption and L.A Noire to see how this is going to work. Still no matter what way it works out everybody will be able get access to this content one way or another. No need to buy these editions just for in-game items as they are not permanent exclusives.

It won't be free. It will cost like every other thing. The only thing that might be free is the blimp since that is free when you pre-order the game.

I say exclusive means exclusive. It'll probably just be something that shows up in the CE singleplayer.

I agree. Still it won't be a issue for me if it's all included in a potential R* pass and the R* pass is worth my cash. I'll be paying for the new content this way and just treat these things as a bonus. Point still remains the in game stuff in the SE and CE are nothing more than timed exclusives. No way in hell would R* limit players from something.
