Why is multiplayer ever existing in the gta series anyway? I feel R* just put multiplayer in GTA IV AND V just to be part of the "COOL" crowd of developers when this series was originally made to be a single player experience only. You do realize that's a matter of a opinion? And that most fun in GTA comes from your own imagination? Free roam in GTA with 16 players is the most I've ad all my my life. zakace Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 IV is one of the main games i play online with friends thanks to the vast amount of freedom that you have and the ability to do what you want. So Multiplayer in V will be even better so to answer your question yes it is needed. Edit: Also without multiplayer IV wouldn't have anyway near as many players on it right now if it only had singleplayer and that would be the same in V, games last longer if they have multplayer.
