Kill Frenzy!

R* has stated that Los Santos is a slightly bigger then Liberty City, okey this seems be true BUT for the people who thinks Los Santos looks smaller then Liberty City are also right because LC has much more streets and small streets, Los Santos hasn't that, that's the reason why it looks smaller.

For example; LC has two buildings and then a street and then again two buildings and then a street, etc... Los Santos has five buildings and then a street and then again five buildings and then again. But in the end these two Cities has got the same size.

Any thoughts? Hope you agree.

You can try what you want but some people are so goddamn stubborn that you wanna shoot them.

My thoughts are it doesnt look small and people are expecting unrealistic size game.. Its looks pretty huge when you get to street level, Throw in the rest of the map.. then add to that a lot of buildings and territories, Countryside + ocean will be interactive im not sure what much more people want.

Maybe the city itself is small, but the suburbs, like South Central, are actually huge? Much like in real life, how Washington DC is small, but when you put the other suburbs in account, like Alexandria, Arlington, etc. in account, they make Washington DC look huge.

Yeah but that's the problem though, there isn't any notable suburban sprawl.

People would ignore me completly.

its also because LC has large bodies of water between the areas which make things look really far away

I bet there are more roads than the Blueprint is showing, the Blueprint only shows the mainroads... see if you can locate the beach on the Blueprint, I can't... so there are no beaches in V !?

Maybe South Central could count as a suburban sprawl to some degree? I don't know too much about the suburbs of LA, so I can't say much else. I guess knowing more about the suburbs of DC doesn't help my case either.

Is this also a main road for you? It's just a small useless baby road

Nah, this should not be a mainroad. I also thought about the blueprint showing us only the main roads and there will be more streets, but you are right. Obviously these street grids are all we will get. So this is really disappointing for me. Anyway don't want to start a LS size fight.

in iv you can fly across liberty city in a few seconds

if los santos is that size then flying will be hard unless the countryside is 5 times as big as los santos

for driving size dosn't matter but for flying thats a liiittle worrying

I agree. I think that each block in LS is larger than each block in LC. Thus creating the illusion that LS is smaller because there is less streets when it actually isn't smaller.

Obvious that the countryside will 2 and a half the size of RDR.

i agree ntsc

Lol

OT:

Even though in some screens the city doesn't look as big as LC I think once you're are driving in the city it will feel huge. I also don't think that discussion and arguments have any impact on people who believe it is small at this moment. They just need to be convinced when the game is released.

That's true. The city will be much more intractable than LC was since there is so much more we can do in V than in IV.

The point is that the entire south central area is visible on the blueprint map, and it doesn't look too large at all. However, if the OP is right, and I really do hope he is, the blocks may be much larger than in IV so it could be bigger than it looks.

Yeah, i'm with you, i don't like that guy and neither his useless rants and vomit inducing posts in general . I still remember his constant bitching and moaning about how Franklin isn't hispanic like that really would have made the game better or worse, who the hell cares ?

That's a weird way of simply saying "the blocks are bigger." dozingoff.gif

And I agree. The Vespucci Beach area of the game has smaller blocks for comparison.
