Shooticide
This movie is going to be crazy! (crime is allowed in all of usa for 12 hrs) Basically what it is: The government cuts all of the laws in all of America for 12 hours due to the unemployment rate. This movie is based on a family. While this is happening, a black man runs and cries for help in the street that someone is after him. A family with an advanced security system on their house was right next to them. A little girl in the steel protected home clicked a button that opened a door and screamed ''COME ON!'' and the black man slid right into the door. It turns out there were people after him, so they start invading the house in a way that kind of looked like it was copied off of "The Strangers". It seems like a GREAT movie and I hope we have a nice talk about it. Please feel free to click that play button and discuss what you think! universetwisters
Hahaha, was about to make a topic about this movie till I saw that you beat me to it! On topic, it actually seems pretty cool, even though I don't see much new movies. The most interesting part to me is that the government allows crime for a good 12 hours. Hell, they could've made the movie about that itself, rather than about the family.

I just hope it focuses more on what happens with the whole country and not just that one family.
Vercetti21
The trailer got me really excited, it's an interesting and original idea to say the least. I've since been turned off by it though now that they're advertising it as a 'horror' film rather than a thriller. Plus I haven't even seen the movie yet and I can smell the plot holes from a mile away. Making all crime legal is an economically viable solution to a recession? OK. I'm sorry but if all emergency services were suspended there would be ensuing chaos and expensive collateral damage - a point this movie doesn't seem to want to address. Still, I know I shouldn't judge a book by it's cover, even if it doesn't make any sense. At best, it has the potential to ask some provocative questions about psychology and human nature. Moonshield
This movie looks like absolute f*cking garbage. The entire concept of the film posits that people don't commit awful crimes just because they're illegal? Oh, home invaders with masks? That's f*cking original. Stop buying tickets for this boring bullsh*t garbage.
The Pizza Delivery Guy
What I'm wondering is if we lived in a world with a day like this is if police were chasing a murderer and this day came up, would they just stop that day, and continue the day after the purge? If not, this really makes no sense. For that matter, the entire idea of a national day of no laws seems absurd.

Stop buying tickets for this boring bullsh*t garbage. Just saw it this evening and yes, there were a lot of plot holes and it relied mainly on jump scares, wasn't very long which made it feel rushed. Not a great film but I kind of enjoyed watching it somehow, the acting was pretty good however.
Old World
This film was absolutely atrocious, absolute waste of time. Brilliant premise, terrible execution. Nothing more than a home invasion movie with cheap jump scares, unlikable characters, and a seemingly infinite number of plot-holes. Do not waste your money seeing this movie. They could've done so much more with the idea.
unc13bud
this movie was an illuminati public service announcement for what they plan us to experience in the new future, that is why it was so bad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crime_in_Oakland,_California

EvilFuture
My friend went to it in Theaters and said it was the best movie he had ever seen, but the replies to this thread suggest otherwise. I was thinking about going and seeing it, any suggestions?
Backfire6
It's only an hour and 25 minute movie and its bombing big time. And somehow they are already talking about a sequel. A disney movie is longer then this....This should have been released to dvd&blueray instead of the theaters. If anything they are losing money from it. RARusk
From what I understand the movie only cost three million to make. Even with advertising the movie turned a very healthy profit on its opening weekend hence the inevitable sequel. "One day I will think of this as just another job. After all, this is what I do." unc13bud
i think its going to be a sequel because like i said, its a public service announcement from THEM.
bread
I saw this. It was HORRIBLE. Cheaply made and just all-around regurgitated garbage you see in most bad 'thrillers' these days. Save your money and watch Monsters University or whatever. This film sucks and will make you vomit in your popcorn box before even going through the first hour of the film. Jriv
This movie was very short and I thought the story had too many twist and turns. I thought It was supposed to be a horror movie but turned out to be a " shoot-out". The at first seemed ok but wasn't what I expected. In my opinion the movie was short and not very good which explains the cheap budget the movie had.
