Here is what I talked about, how do you think are they able to fix this? -snip- I wish GTAV to be the first GTA where this 'features' are resolved. well, since there is the possibility to drive (or fly) an enormous blimp, i guess they definately have solved the lag-issues in V... so there might be the possibility to drive also the big yacht... Anyway seems that we're having huge planes to drive so I wouldn't deny anything for the moment. Nonetheless, Rockstar always cares about details, I'm sure it will have a realistic interior with interesting things About the MP3 yatch, indeed looks like they have ported it to V, and edited the textures. I guess you're right by saying that it would cause some lags in the game, because it would be a huge vehicle. But the fact itself that they put it in the game already among many different things full of details makes me believe that it's not impossible to make it driveable. Everything we know is that the yacht is in game, it appears on the map, and it's more detailed and is bigger than the yacht from TBoGT. And we also know that the boat is not anchored near the Pier all the time (according to the LS map). The question is: Does this vessel appear only once in the game (like in a mission) near the Pleasure Pier, or it's there, because player is able to drive it or let it move? And I also think that Rockstar could change the exterior and interior of the yacht a little bit to make it look more modern. Good topic, very good observations. While it would be a stretch to suggest we might be able to drive the yacht, I really hope we can. I especially liked your idea of setting a waypoint on the map and a computer would do all of the work. Thanks! I'm glad you liked it A drivable Yacht is something I have always wanted in a GTA game. It could be used as a portable spawn point plus you could have a heli pad on it and jet ski's on the side. If it could sink that would be so intense! You would see some water and book it for the deck, as you climb the floors to the top it would fill more and more. Just sounds like a great idea for some really interesting game play. I actually think you've made a pretty good point. And as above mentioned, the blimp is a huge mother. I for one, didn't expect us to be able to fly the blimp when I first saw it. Yes, the pilotable blimp is proof that the new RAGEngine can handle very large moving objects on screen. I just hope I can park it on Sunrise Boulevard (or whatever they call it). Realistically they can go pretty fast. But I guess if there is a LOT of ocean to use what would you use it for? You'd be by your self on it. Its not like you'd be able to bring peds onto it at any time at all. Unless you drove a car with a ped inside onto it and try to keep them on board. LOL I can't imagine using the Yacht as it is suppose to be used. But if the Yacht is already moving during the game all the time you'd be able to get on it pretty easy. It's a shame that the tug boat has lot a glitches, such as the lag on multiplayer. Hopefully the yacht in this game is not only drivable, but also not full of glitches and lag. No offense but who gives a damn? This is GTA for Christ sakes. Almost everything in the game is unnecessary but who cares? Yeah passenger planes are cool and all but come on who doesn't love a yacht? I've always wanted one in a GTA where you could cruise all over the map and then just park it wherever. You could tour the Alamo River of Zancudo River then just park it and gawk at the scenery. Whilst gawking at the scenery you could relax in the hot tub or tour the yacht. If we can drive the yacht I hope we'll have a fully -- or almost fully -- fleshed out interior. You'll have a bedroom, living area, dining area, kitchen, deck, crew room, drivers room, etc. It would be cool. Just imagine pulling out of the marina one dawn planning to go on a tour all around the map. It would take 2-3 in game days but it would be fun if you're into sightseeing and paying attention to how much detail has gone into the world. I could plan out a trip from the Vespucci Marinas up north to the Zancudo River, cruise to Alamo Lake, then head back north through Alamo River and continue my journey around the map back to the Vespucci Marinas. darkbart Posted July 28, 2013 Share Posted July 28, 2013 It was either said in a R* interview or a Q&A session somewhere I heard that you can get a boat that's equipped with scuba gear that allows you to go diving. We all are aware that there's diving in the game.....but it seems to me you're gonna need some dough to buy the boat before you can go diving in game. So if this luxury yacht is in the game then there's got to be more than a couple of boats you can buy once you have the bucks saved up. Maybe start with a wreck that just about gets you on the water and thats about it to big game fishing boats and diving boats to luxurious yacht's. Maybe you can even rent dive boats to start with?? This is one thing about this game I'm really looking forward to finding out......if you can do all the above plus the flying/skydiving thing, flying the blimp etc. this game will never get boring or repedative. Do a heist with your mates, then blow the proceeds on a nice appartment near the sea, grab yourself a diving boat in the local marina, buy a fast car and live it up....
